11/7/2018 09:02 | IG 14% clients short which is one up from yesterday so one or both of the 10k sells are a new short for about £100 per point. So not even a real sell and a buy waiting to happen. Odd timing when it looks like it's back to normal market conditions for now. | ![]() superg1
11/7/2018 09:01 | Fair enough guys, thanks for your comments. | ![]() woodpeckers
11/7/2018 09:00 | Up to you sonny. You seem to have been jittery in recent posts and jump on any twitter comments made. Yes we do seem to have buyer and a supply Mom and Tuesday. Singer were dominant on the offer but it seems form other info the 500k went to the fund buying. So for now I suspect we are on normal market conditions where stock becomes viable as and when PIs sell. I'm watching for and sign of an MM working outside those rules. EG staying on the offer well, beyond and level have stock they could have picked up from`PIs. No real surprises for me in the results other than the market probably hasn't realised revenue will be materially up. | ![]() superg1
11/7/2018 08:59 | Potsol - agreed. It’s a benefit to VRS that they have a B2B promotion strategy and don’t require a Unilever sized multi- brand global advertising budget. | lovat scout
11/7/2018 08:54 | Fortunately, VRS don't need the majority of the population to know about Nanene or Hexotene. Companies with whom VRS are going to want to deal with, have R&D departments with significant budgets to pay scientists and engineers quite handsomely to know about innovative developments, which could improve their products. In addition, take the time to read the GEIC RNS for instance. There are several large multi-national companies involved. | potsol
11/7/2018 08:54 | I get where you're coming from, I think though that if you're in an industry that would need advanced materials, you're probably already aware of who's out there and what they do. In IT for example, I stay abreast of stuff by going to trade shows, reading news online etc, talking to suppliers about what their latest tech is and what's on their development roadmap. I guess what I'm trying to say, although perhaps rather clumsily, is that we're aware of VRS because we invest in it - if we didn't, we wouldn't have a clue who they were or what they did. The only reference to graphene we might connect with is a news article about filtering sea water. I imagine a fair few people also have never heard of Tesla. | ![]() tini5
11/7/2018 08:47 | Bloody ii trading page down at the moment. | ![]() pshevlin
11/7/2018 08:44 | I agree tini, I'm sure Neill and the gang make anyone who 'comes their way' aware of the product if they feel it will be of use to them. I certainly wasn't criticising the company in any way, just struck me how hard it must be to 'advertise' a product that the vast majority of the population aren't even aware exists. This is an area that the government/Matt possibly could and should help with... | ![]() woodpeckers
11/7/2018 08:41 | Answered you own question there sonson Look at this apply it to VRS and make your own mind up bearing in mind nothing is guaranteed. | ![]() luckyorange
11/7/2018 08:39 | Well, attending trade shows is one way, I know VRS have attended events similar to this: Also, if you are looking for materials for use within your industry, you'll be aware of who's who and if you want you business to grow, you'll be looking to keep up to date with news related to your industry. There's many ways VRS can, has and continues to raise their profile. The NGA, Graphene council/advisory board, together with Matt Walker from DIT and don't forget trade trip to China - Neill said it had given the loads of opportunities. Also I believe it was widely commented that at any given time they had around 200 names on their list of companies who wanted to talk to them about potential collaborations. Most of that I would assume is Nanene-related but am sure that NR takes every opportunity when talking to new (and existing) contacts, to talk about VRS complete range of materials and capabilities. | ![]() tini5
11/7/2018 08:31 | Lucky - only got 6500 shares, was more wondering if I could add to.that by selling then buying back on perceived weak numbers to make a few more. Prob not worth the risk. | ![]() sonsonnyjim
11/7/2018 08:30 | I think Hexotene can be used very successfully alongside (literally) nanene as part of the advanced battery tech' now being developed. | ![]() spike_1
11/7/2018 08:28 | LO - I would add: "Think Tetra pak and link it to Nanene and think what one could be missing in 5 years time ..." | ![]() fuji99
11/7/2018 08:27 | Thanks tini, so my question remains, how are we making businesses who may benefit from it aware of it's existence? | ![]() woodpeckers
11/7/2018 08:24 | sonson, unless it is your intention to sell try and relax and take note that there are large buyers at 1.30. Plenty in the pipeline and government backing. | ![]() luckyorange
11/7/2018 08:22 | Not really - like graphene it exhibits particular properties that could find an important place in many different sectors and applications - I was just being glib with regards building spaceships. • h-BN has excellent lubricating properties • In the hot pressed state, h-BN is readily machinable using conventional metal cutting techniques, hence complex shaped components can be fashioned from hot pressed billet. • Providing oxidation of the surface can be prevented, h-BN is not wetted by most molten metals, glasses and salts and hence has a high resistance to chemical attack. • High dielectric breakdown strength • High volume resistivity • Good chemical inertness | ![]() tini5
11/7/2018 08:18 | Thanks for that article tini, sounds as though it is a very small market for that product at the moment then. | ![]() woodpeckers
11/7/2018 08:08 | What do people expect to happen surrounding the results share price wise? All depends on updates about China etc I guess! | ![]() sonsonnyjim
11/7/2018 08:02 | Don't forget Hexotene, launched in March, wonder if Neill can tell is if that is proving to be of interest? I do wonder with such novel materials, how word gets around about their existence? We aren't likely to get enquiries unless people are aware of it and what it can do... | ![]() woodpeckers
11/7/2018 08:02 | It seems like cantor would be off the offer today after some late buys and that has happened. All eyes on singer who are on the bid. Just a case of keeping an eye on any sells and which MM gets them and how long they are on the offer when they try to flip them. | ![]() superg1
11/7/2018 07:51 | grabster, thanks for your thoughts. | ![]() rafboy
11/7/2018 07:50 | News would be welcome SG, but like most LTH’s I am pretty chilled, I would rather see a nice steady rise after some decent results. That said if the News on China is positive, or the ISO is published, hold on to your seats! I am looking forward with VRS, so I will be happy for the results to show a break even, however my main interest is news on commercial developments with China, NDA’s and collaborations. Obviously where a NDA is in place, we can not be informed on specifics or company name in some cases. It would be good to hear in Neil’s opinion where we are in timescales. We hear a great deal of talk on. Nanane, but I hope that ink sales could well take off this financial year. Stay chilled folks. | ![]() rogerbridge
11/7/2018 07:48 | Thanks for all your knowledge on holders and £IQE guys. After the big Miton sell-out I vowed to keep a weather eye on what kind of holder holds as well as the share price I think what I'm looking for is reassurance that it's not a hedge fund that will loan stock and I know sg1, you don't want to reveal who it is so as not to attract the herd but maybe you can tell us that if you know it? Also, anyone have any thoughts on £FIPP? Interesting RNS this morning. Uni tech buy-ins can have a lot of potential, as we know! | ![]() runthejoules |
