Its a great share to be in...all points for a 100% return, the volumes does give a poitive signal...with wall street closing bullish then we can see another positive day...it seems to continue but what I suspect this could be on the cards for a takeover.

Full year results should be out in early March. Directors are not able to buy more shares until results are out - closed period.

From the last results...

"Global first-half sales for its Frovatriptan migraine product sales were up
by 23 pct at 36.4 mln usd...Cash reserves at the end of June were 27.0 mln stg"

Current market cap £21M.

Agreed john lets hope jweekes snippets on frova for PMM is helping the bottom line!!.The Director's have not averaged down at this price possibly because results not far away?

Settle down - it's gone from 5.5p to 7p. That is not anywhere near 20p. We are all happy that there is a rise at the moment but don't get too excited just yet.

In fact most of the directors bought in at around 20p after the frova news. If they expected a takeover I would think that they would expect it to be pitched at 40-50p...

each, lifting his beneficial holding in the company to 525,888 shares, or 0.168
pct. His initial holding prior to the ones he bought in November were bought over 40p.....

Vernalis share price now 6.5pIt certainly shows how much BB's shares were diluted. ...at the end.!!!!

Fred49, yes it is the same company .......British Biotech..........I suggest u go to www.vernalis.com Strong management, two products are already in the market...half a dozen on phase 11 and phase 111............The shares were trading at 72p last year......but with FDA budging in end of October regarding one of their product.....resulting into.....dive of its fortune in October share price fell from 45p to 20p.....and then the slow drip to 5p. Recently BV partners have been buying agressively...and instituitions are joining in.... In December Chairman picked up the shares at 13.25.... It looks like someone might attempt a takeover, my opinion is that he will be looking at 50p at least to be successful.


Few months old news just reflects that ver must be very much oversold......chairman had bought at 13.25.......so who are we to argue his decision

executive chairman Peter Fellner on Friday bought 110,000 shares at 13.25 pence
each, lifting his beneficial holding in the company to 525,888 shares, or 0.168
pct.
Shares in Vernalis have fallen over the last month from 21p to 13.75p this
morning at 10.58, down sharply from a year high of 72 pence.
On Oct 1, the US FDA refused a new menstrual migraine indication for the
company's migraine product Frova which wiped out more than 50 pct from the value
of its shares in the first hour of trading on the day.

Interestingly enough today I bought some under Selftrade (showed immediately) and some under a NatWest nominee account (not shown). Maybe something to do with the fact the NatWest trade was a T+3 trade ?
