Now the management share options are loaded up, just watch the share price ramp up as they make some good news come through.

They've just screwed up massively. ok, not their own fault, but they have failed to deliver.
Why on earth should they get options and why do shareholders (I'm not and dont plan to be) let them get away with it!?

sounds like you guys have short positions, whilst 'if' correct the salaries are disjointed compared to results I strongly believe once they have got approval from the USA there will be a bounce.

the salaries are ridiculous for a company that has only failed so far - I would stay well away, this can only go down.

Total board cash cost 1,775

Is this a short or what, even from here?

A £60m Mkt Cap, loss making company with sales of £16m in 2006 burning £30m per year. Yet the board costs £1.8m to run it and the lead product fails to get an indication expansion. Vernalis owe Endo $50m plus interest and Endo can take half of the Frova royalty to pay it back. Cash available was £21m at end Dec 2006 so that should be gone by now and a big cash call coming.

Just because the chairman buys £40k of shares and three other directors spend between £10k and £20k on shares does not show a large amount of confidence, given their salaries. They still only hold around 0.5% of the company. These people really believe in what value they are creating for shareholders.

Is this as big a confidence trick as British Biotech was?

Not held these since before the merger. Always made money on them. Reckon 14p the price to buy next.

No knowledge just a gut feeling.

Not sure about shortage? Current share price valuation about right based on cash alone. But the company is more than the sum of its parts.... much more. Sentiment holding this down at the moment but that will change. Current products cash generative and new products will come to fruition barring the odd hiccup. IMHO

Lead_Balloon - what makes you think that ? much more likely to reach 10p in the short term because of the cash shortage - most companies pay dividends to shareholders - VER on the other hand expects the shareholders to pay them for the privilage of being shareholders - look at the background for the past few years - always dyor - jarbie
