Just see an article in the FT reference gourmet meals driving pet food business.
Any one know any suitable companies?

More likely due to global trade war and profit taking (+20% in a couple of months), Big7.

A nano cap is a company with the smallest market capitalizations in the market place, typically below $50 million.

Love 'nanocaps' terminology.

A concert party and a sale of shares but we don't know how many. I'm not used to this sort of drama. I'll stick to my nanocaps in future. These big companies are just too risky.

FEVR is on another planet. I thought it would stall after the last update. That's why I don't trade - known your own strengths and weaknesses!

Thanks for sharing Apad, We can start with few and tweak as we go along.. I know a couple of private small firms I would really like to own a slice.. for instance, a small private firm in algo forex brokerage generating more than a million in profit per head... Don't think they will be IPOing as they don't need money to grow .. another software cash machine with high switching cost charging £££ their clients..

Rather than profitability, I would choose.

EBIT(operating profit/income/earnings) less tax and interest as a simple form of free cash flow.

FWIW, these are the headings I record:
Shares Issued
Employees
Revenue (£m)
Ratio: Revenue/Employee (£1k)
EBIT(operating profit/income/earnings)
Tax (£m)
Interest (£m)
Free Cash Flow (EBIT+tax+interest)
Cash outflow from investing (m)
Ratio: EBIT/Revenue
Ratio: Cash Outflow Investing /revenue
Ratio: Free Cash Flow/Revenue
Dividend (p)
Net Cash (£m)

Yup, tough to quantify some of the variables .. in that case, shall we have .. - Moat type - (Switching cost, Brand, Lowest cost producer, Network effect)- Total Addressable Market (Large, Medium, Low, None) - this is to indicate they have growth ahead of them.. Bioventix has lower growth than Fever and Boo - Profitability (fairly quantifiable) - Valuation.. As everyone will have different estimate, we can average this out .. Quite difficult to do but I want to experiment with crowd average estimate ..

Difficult to quantify, perhaps? I'd be interested in moatability list of small companies. Trouble is that first mover advantage can be a moat - ZOO perhaps.

Been looking at BOOMAN website. Jesu, is there such a community out there?

Anyroadup - a prediction.
The next BOO brand will be BooKids.

All, I have been thinking about having a list of companies with following attributes .. - Type of moat / moat rating- Total addressable market - Profitability/Margins/Free cash flow- Valuation The list has to be crowd sourced so we harvest crowd wisdom here.. would it be something of interest?

I quite like AutoTrader in similar network moat category.. Not sure if they can manage to grab bigger slice of new cars market.. It is all about convincing customers to transact online..

B7, yup, not much out there at the moment.. I am researching Chinese tech giants including Alibaba, Tencent, JD.com.. Amazing how quickly they managed to grow their network moat... Also, Some other ecommerce niche players like Etsy, EBay.. I'll buy eBay if we get a dip... eBay has been profitable since first month of their operation .. Group of network moaty platforms ..

I think it might have been a false memory, Big7. Binned Tekmar anyway - not a pretty enough puppy.
Anyway, why would I want to own anything other than BVXP?

Summertime, innit.

.gov mad (its the new puritanism) environment folks 'investigating' fast fashion.

Tekmar surprised that they can patent their product - probably not challenged so of little value.
Have you got a link for customer concentration, pireric? They say that their position in 'wind' will allow them to sell into O&G.
Not convinced at the moment.
