Presumably the argument is that regulations will affect margins because they will have to do more and more recycling themselves.
I suspect the share price damage from the current hysteria will be overdone.
Excellent company judging from the results.

On AFM, it's obviously hard to judge whether they're any good at what they do unless you're in the industry. When I was doing my research, I took comfort from the fact that there's quite a lot of overlap between named clients (I think it was from the 1H results presentation) and the list of shareholders on the assumption that if customers were willing to become shareholders AFM must be doing something right. They also had both FMR (North American version of Fidelity) and FIL (International version of Fidelity) as shareholders. It's pretty unusual for US shareholders to play in a small UK IPO.

The share buyback program looks sound, from hindsight. Not!!! What a waste of £83 millions.

Had a quick peruse of the AFM results and their website, mod.
Impressive performance.
Do you know if they have any distinguishing characteristics? I'm surrounded by wealth managers and always amazed at their ability to attract and spend money.

Sold TCN when they lost the RR contract. Tempted to buy them a few times as a recovery play.
Excellent management.
Put off by their low tech activity (bending pipes) a little.

The Tesla fairy story still entertains.

Such a strong set of results at AFM, and not a single post TCN, also good, debt is being paid off, but still a bit high for my liking

Ghh

Been a holder for a while. It is steadily growing the business, both acquisition and organic. They had a panic on at Illminster. Orders exceeded capacity for a few months. Maybe didn't work as efficiently as they should have done.
The premium rating is well deserved and they have a niche.
One of their more technically developed lenses is on the current Mars probe.
Can see them being taken out, at some point, by a big US or maybe Japanese business.
Results satisfactory.

APAD,

Not seen GHH on here before, I normally take a look at the companies mentioned.

Cursory look shows mid single digit revenue growth and an "in line" comment. I understand that the profit on that revenue has improved, but seems pricey on a PE of 36 with that level of top line growth.

I therefore assume there is a quality of earnings argument for the company that isn't clear in the numbers and that earns it it's stalwart status at this price?

Or do we completely disregard price for a stalwart?

GHH interims confirming stalwart status.

""The introduction of a new manufacturing organisation has enabled us to more readily upgrade capacity and performance, in particular at our Ilminster and Fremont, CA sites, in order to meet the unprecedented demand in the microelectronic sector."

NTQ is moribund. I'd have thought it might show signs of life with news nigh!

E.g. RB. PER is 21.

Bought a small number more in NTQ before the results.
