APAD,

Not seen GHH on here before, I normally take a look at the companies mentioned.

Cursory look shows mid single digit revenue growth and an "in line" comment. I understand that the profit on that revenue has improved, but seems pricey on a PE of 36 with that level of top line growth.

I therefore assume there is a quality of earnings argument for the company that isn't clear in the numbers and that earns it it's stalwart status at this price?

Or do we completely disregard price for a stalwart?

GHH interims confirming stalwart status.

""The introduction of a new manufacturing organisation has enabled us to more readily upgrade capacity and performance, in particular at our Ilminster and Fremont, CA sites, in order to meet the unprecedented demand in the microelectronic sector."

NTQ is moribund. I'd have thought it might show signs of life with news nigh!

"Economist John Kenneth Galbraith called it the “Bezzle,”; referencing the period in which an embezzler has stolen money but the victim doesn’t yet realize it."

E.g. RB. PER is 21.

Bought a small number more in NTQ before the results.

thanks bamboo; but if this is all right, why aren't traders cottoning on? Perhaps they are, and, if they do their trading will validate further the patterns? wont it?

janeann re 19225, I think chart patterns represent what you are talking about quite well. Patterns repeat and unfold, revealing similar scenarios.

This is the basis of Bulkowski's work. He has taken accepted chart pattern wisdom, and subjected it to back tested statistical analysis.

A good example is the H&S. The traditional method of measuring a target price from this pattern suggested it was 100% of the height from neckline to top of head. Bulkowski found that that it was in fact better to set the tp at min 55% of the pattern height.
