20/5/2007 18:23 | i think that probably explains it to be honest... | brando69
17/5/2007 14:59 | the RNS clearly states that Mackie is holding onto his shares... | brando69
17/5/2007 14:58 | The significant factor this week is that Mackie has been encouraged to 'seek new pastures' I assume that he will have burned his boats, sold his shares to an institution and taken up residence in Paris to look after the money shops. There was no point him remaining as a passive shareholder after being ousted by the new directors. This outcome will surely be positive even if it means that UNG could be digested by a predatator who may view UNG as a tasty morsel. | rabbrooks
17/5/2007 01:50 | Unless I am reading it wrong, UNG just got some increased institutional interest today. See the two RNS announcements after hours... Barclays and Chase... | brando69
09/5/2007 13:23 | Touch-and-pay cards get go ahead The new system may spell the end of small change in your pocket UK consumers will soon be able to settle bills of less than £10 with a touch of their credit and debit cards. The system, which is being led by Visa and Mastercard, will be running from September, said payment group Apacs. Instead of swiping their cards and entering a security code, or signing a receipt, users will only have to hold them against a special secure reader. Critics have questioned whether the system will be secure enough and warned it may lead to a rise in card fraud Any business leads for Universe here? | giardap
08/5/2007 10:22 | Another move up to 10.25p is on the cards. Then we will see whether any supporting news can force a real breakout. But the Charles Stanley note at 12p seems a fair target at present. | howdlep
03/5/2007 20:46 | They have clearly been resisting a takeover in last few months. They must, I think be working hard to drive the share price up knowing that interest is not going to disappear. I think it's a tad unfair to describe them as a one-horse outfit, mind. | brando69
03/5/2007 20:36 | No new info to discuss. Two ways of looking at it - a) VERY focussed, or b) a one-horse oputfit (HTEC). Next 'mover' event is presumably the AGM, but I cannot find when it is scheduled. It would normally be expected within the next week or two. I don't think it will stand alone for very long but whether corporate action will be as predator or prey is an open question - although I suspect prey is the more likely. | boadicea
03/5/2007 16:53 | anyone care to join me here....? | brando69
03/5/2007 14:37 | Like I said, sth stirring. MMs clearly want your stock. Just ticked up on the offer to 8.75 | brando69
03/5/2007 13:01 | If the directors think this company's shareprice is so cheap at the moment, as they have intimated by rebutting prospective takeovers, why aren't we seeing them filling their boots...? | brando69
03/5/2007 11:19 | sense sth cld be about to give here... | brando69
26/4/2007 12:34 | One of the principal reasons why the shares have not moved yet is that senior staff and directors have yet to finalise their option arrangements.Once this issue is out of the way this stock will motor to 15p min.In essence the company has undergone a total status change in terms of management, activitie | thorne3
25/4/2007 18:42 | bobby.ifa Although it may have been ideal at the lows today, I firmly believe, it's still an excellent buy at the price at close. Even the Charles Stanley note suggest a very very cautious 12p, based on very conservative eps growth. And in the news likely in the short term, I can see heading northwards very quickly imho. | tsmith2
25/4/2007 18:22 | I wish I had the lolly to have topped up. Oppotunities like this come every 3 months with UNG. | bobby.ifa
25/4/2007 16:33 | just like to finish off the day by saying a big word of thanks to the marketmakers today, for shaking the tree. not only did they allow existing holders to top up at the placing price, but it attracted a new wave of interest and reinvigorated trading. feel free to do it again... | danski

25/4/2007 15:26 | there are other reasons than the above for the price to rise over the next couple of week or so.. | tsmith2
25/4/2007 15:20 | i can confirm view's last post. tw estimates htec is capable of driving profits up beyond £2 million as it did in the past and so remains very much a bull of ung. he owns this co in his pension fund, so i suppose he would be... | danski |
