06/12/2006 16:39 | Getting rid of Masterchange will be a good move, shame its taken so long so far. | papalpower
06/12/2006 16:35 | i agree i hope its the french operation and this is the start of better things | acornoptical
06/12/2006 15:40 | Something's leaking - it doesn't move on its own, at least not upwards. Perhaps they're about to finalise the sale of the French op. | boadicea
30/11/2006 15:39 | Not much interest/knowledge in the current situation here in the B/B. | rabbrooks
20/11/2006 09:59 | I see we are now formally covered by Rule 8.1 as being under offer. (Full dealing disclosure by any party having an interest over 1% if I remember correctly). | boadicea
18/11/2006 17:49 | Surprised we weren't covered in the papers to-day, considering the 43% rise yesterday. | bobby.ifa
18/11/2006 04:25 | What a relief as I added to my holding last week at 9.25p, as always when there is a sudden jump in the share price I wish I had bought more. I was definately going to add even more when my finances allowed. I truly think that UNG is worth at least 20p and if anyone is thinking of taking UNG over I will not sell for any less. boxerdog, if UNG are taken over, there could be a good 30% plus profit still to be made, even at this current higher price. | loganair
17/11/2006 14:53 | bodicea looking to invest some of my RTD proceeds! Have i missed the boat here?. Got a few of these floating about from CC.days. What do you think of the prospect of a take-over?, Any advice from any one appreciated. | boxerdog
17/11/2006 13:48 | I think July to Oct was time to get into them its already had the rise! but as you say should go a tad higher over time. | divinausa1
17/11/2006 13:27 | As your asking sin is undervalued, director buy at 44p price less than that now, f/c eps circa 6p. it will be a steady performer though not an instant riser. | outsider
17/11/2006 13:20 | just like to add here that there are many i think AIM stocks grossly undervalued I have my eye on some anyone have some they think can do a UNG :) | divinausa1
17/11/2006 12:42 | divina - RTD won't be making any more bids but I suppose their RD buy-out consortium might. That would be a bit of a Humpty Dumpty arrangement. | boadicea
17/11/2006 11:39 | Buyers that would be interested i guess RTD and TRX although Torex has said its done with aquisitions for the time being, but these are cheap! cheap! so never say never.....Im holding out for 17p+ | divinausa1
17/11/2006 10:40 | I would agree with that Outsider. | papalpower
17/11/2006 10:23 | short term movement doesn't worry me, fundamentals do, I expect 1.4-1.5p eps & much reduced debt. with delayed orders too in pipeline, I see 16-17p fair value at this point in time, until further announcements. | outsider
17/11/2006 10:20 | Price is quite responsive to a few buys. Could mm's be a bit short of stock? Expect a shake when it calms down. | boadicea
17/11/2006 10:18 | Obviously some people have been researching since the annoucement & are seeing a very undervalued stock. | outsider
17/11/2006 09:59 | at these levels must be 30 to 40% undervalued. Bought a few today. What do you think PP? off topic shame about LEAD looks like my xmas price target of 65p was to optimistic but i guess not as bad as yur valuation of £1.80. Goal posts must be way past the car park now LOL ;-) | divinausa1
17/11/2006 09:58 | Masterchange is profitable, so its not a liability. However it would be better for UNG to get rid of it and concentrate on HTEC with the debt reduced to nothing by selling MasterChange. At these prices its obvious that someone will make a cheeky bid. | papalpower
17/11/2006 09:58 | "Since the AGM in May 2006, the Board has embarked on selling the Bureau business in Paris. This has attracted a lot of interest" Looks a strong asset to me. they have written off the goodwill on it. | outsider
17/11/2006 09:42 | Be interesting to hear what TW says with his SIPP holding in UNG. I just don't understand this stock; and presumably most people have the same problem as otherwise surely it would be up to the 12/13p level rather than back languishing at 10p as I type. Perhaps I should average down..... Any ideas on the likely value of UNG if they have to pay someone to take the Bureaux de Change division off their hands - or am I undervaluing that asset (liability!). | skyship
17/11/2006 09:40 | I have on several occasions pointed out that UNG cannot survive in it's present format. It makes sense to take our losses unless we risk capital by and buying/averaging at this stage in time. Likely that RTD is looking seriously at UNG. | rabbrooks
17/11/2006 08:54 | Christ.............. Lets hear from you papal Merc | mercedes
17/11/2006 08:51 | "significantly undervalues the business, which continues to perform in line with management expectations." Suggests to me we are at least on target for brokers expected 1.4p eps, with delayed orders too, this one could be a good medium term hold. | outsider
17/11/2006 07:20 | Universe Group PLC 17 November 2006 UNIVERSE GROUP PLC 17 November 2006 Universe Group plc Update on sale of Paris bureaux and Group Strategic Review The Board of Universe Group plc ('Universe' or 'the Company') announces that, further to the statement made at the time of the interim results announcement on 8 September 2006, negotiations continue to secure the sale of the Company's Paris based Bureau de Change business. The Board anticipates that further details will be announced shortly. The Board also announces that it has received a number of unsolicited approaches to acquire the Company. The Board has given careful consideration to these proposals but finds that the indicated valuation in each case significantly undervalues the business, which continues to perform in line with management expectations. The Company emphasises that it has received no firm proposals. However, in light of the expressions of interest that have been received, and given the continuing disappointing share price performance, the Board is conducting a strategic review of the business and the opportunities available to the Company, including means of improving the Company's balance sheet. This may or may not involve the Company seeking an offer to be made for the issued and to be issued share capital of the Company. However, there can be no certainty that this process will lead to an offer being made for the Company nor as to the terms of any such offer. It is anticipated that this review will be completed before 31 December 2006 following which the Board will make a further statement. | dire cons |
