11/2/2007 22:17 | POPPA07 - kindly let me know excatly where I have ramped these, the post on NOP is more about charting (I also mentioned ATCG there too) "all over the place" - nonsense and this is a UNG BB so I can post as much on the stock here. | tsmith2
11/2/2007 19:17 | I don't care...stop ramping it all over the place...it's VERY annoying! | poppa07
11/2/2007 18:14 | TW back in December Universe Group (UNG) has this morning announced a very decent contract win for HTEC. The subsidiary has secured a comprehensive three year support contract with Chevron for Chip and PIN maintenance, support and asset management. The contract covers Chevron's Chip & PIN payment terminal and PIN pad infrastructure over more than 1000 Texaco branded retail sites across the UK. This is a major win for the HTEC business. With over 1000 sites Chevron's payment infrastructure is hugely important to them and Universe has clearly struck a cracker here. Approximately one third of all UK petrol stations now use HTEC payment technology, so it no exaggeration to say that Universe is a leader in this field. A high growth technology focussed business such as the one Universe has in HTEC, should attract a far higher multiple that the current 11 times 2007 numbers. I am not amending my earnings forecasts, but this deal certainly underpins estimates of 1.3p for 2007. At 16p, the shares are finally coming to life - "buy".. He has subsequently reiterated his BUY stance POPPA - these are going up as fundamentals are about to reassert themselves. | tsmith2
11/2/2007 18:11 | Universe Group says CEO Mackie steps down; sees FY opg profit below expectations LONDON (AFX) - AIM-listed retail and information systems company Universe Group PLC said Ray Mackie has stepped down as chairman and chief executive of the company, as it confirmed that trading for the year to Dec 31 2006 was "satisfactory". Universe Group also said its full-year revenue and operating profit will be lower than anticipated, due to a delay in a "major software sale". The deal which was expected to be invoiced in December 2006, has been deferred to the first quarter of 2007. | tsmith2
11/2/2007 13:28 | tsmith2, please stop ramping this on other threads. People like you make BB's a nightmare! | poppa07
11/2/2007 12:02 | reverse head and shoulder developing....13p first stop | tsmith2
01/2/2007 20:32 | They could start by updating the Universe website. No mention of the new directors. It hardly inspires confidence! | doublestop
01/2/2007 18:35 | if the company was about to be sold why the placing at 6p wishful thinking i think? | bisiboy
31/1/2007 12:56 | Things are getting better, share price will start reflecting this | tsmith2

25/1/2007 08:16 | old news - yes, but board now giving serious consideration, trade sale very very possible (13-15p) is what I hear | tsmith2
24/1/2007 14:03 | isn't the above old news. | srpactive
23/1/2007 10:45 | I hear that the bid situation is warming up - 13-15p being mooted.... UK smallcap opening - Universe up on unsolicited approaches LONDON (AFX) - Speculators moved in on Universe Group, 1-1/2 pence firmer at 10-1/2, after the AIM-listed retail and information systems company revealed it has received a number of unsolicited approaches to acquire the company. The board has given careful consideration to these proposals but finds that the indicated valuation in each case significantly undervalues the business, which continues to perform in line with management expectations. The board is conducting a strategic review of the business and the opportunities available to the company, including means of improving its balance sheet. Meanwhile, negotiations continue to secure the sale of the Universe's Paris based Bureau de Change business | tsmith2
12/1/2007 10:40 | Another concern in the leaving of Mackie is the question of redundancy. Is there another payoff necessary as he is getting 'Paris' on advantageous terms?Doe's anyone have any info? | rabbrooks
11/1/2007 15:04 | How about director options/warrants? When do they kick in? Either way, it's good to see someone having to pay a 0.25p premium for 69k shares. Looks like another tick-up is coming | howdlep
11/1/2007 13:58 | A worrying feature is that even at the generous price of 6p F&C assets have decided not to take up the placing offer. Two directors own less than i do myself-60k and 51k respectively- which is also not encouraging me to either invest more or retain my shareholding. The terms of the sale agreement contain several features which give cause for concern,eg the commitment for property leasing costs and the additional amount to be possibly received over the next three years. The jury is out! | rabbrooks
11/1/2007 10:19 | I bought in yesterday based on the fact that the fundraising would help pay off debt and stabilise the current share price That said, the amount is very small, so management still have to deliver. Of course there were unsolicited bid approaches at higher values, so potentially this is an excellent trade at these levels. One for the sipp, in my case. | howdlep
10/1/2007 10:07 | morning all still do no hold, yet. boad agree with overhang, i hold gvc pe 3 with massive earnings growth and massive dividend and still unloved i have only bought in recently so breaking evenish, so here pe 6 could still be a bit full for a unloved one, so i wait for a further pullback, i hope i am wrong for the holders here and it moves alot higher very soon, i like long investors to increase wealth. dyor regards active | srpactive
10/1/2007 09:59 | verynervy, no i don't furthermore, if as many say on this board that they reach 1.5p/share earnings, then this would eventually rise back to 21p'ish so, if u hold then selling might not be such a good idea................ anyway, a mean sentiment needs to be taken............. | aa6
10/1/2007 09:42 | It confirms that the company have not been totally transparent with regards to their potential for years and that the normal punter had no chance with this crew. It also confirms that papalpower had no connection with him above and could not walk on water. Perhaps this is not the time to sell as it seems so obvious! | verynervy
10/1/2007 09:01 | back to 10p, as well oversold............ | aa6
10/1/2007 08:55 | Now loosing 78.88% on this dog................t Merc | mercedes |
