I read the rns

Straight from the horses mouth of course

Market dictates :)

And yes. Their forecasts are based on some pretty high crude prices

Very hard to raise finance for such debt to market cap scenarios, cheaply

Are you for real ??????
Talking out your Carapa...
Firstly Oil will NEVER become "Unfashionable"... Maybe in the suburbs of first world countries, but not in emerging economies who have decades to catch up.
They certainly will not be tarmacking streets with batteries..

Secondly you harp on about debt... Read the goddarned RNS's before engaging brain cell.
No near term debt maturities and enough to service debt easily at $60 and so many assets that essentially a sale of any single one could wipe debt all but out.

Have you applied for the CEO position?
Maybe with your expert understanding they will wish to snap you up.
My advise though, stick to the sales desk job and leave Oil exploration to the experts..

re - whites123 - I will share with you quickly my good entry point: "Below £1.50"

Slowly is becoming the mouthpiece for Tullow Oil and the entry point is what he paid for the shares 1st time not long ago.

One thing is for sure "whites" is FULL of Sh!t up to the neck and no matter his ramping ( that is what to be considered ) the shares will be around this price for some time as the News lately are not good enough.

note: My Honest opinion after today's news and I am a shareholder after the last big drop.

Debt used to be 4.2 billion a year or so back. Now it's much lower

Yes issues can be rectified of course.

But problem is trying to get really good backing on something where debt is over double the market cap. It's very rare to get serious backers in that scenario

However fair to say... restructures happened under above scenario and have worked. Statistically not great success rates though

Sentimentrules - your forecasts (right or wrong) are based on nothing being done to rectify the issues. If that was to be a true picture then that is the best reason for not investing in TLW.

However, even the action taken to date shows a realisation of the need for urgency and I for one had lost faith in current management to tackle the issues, So provided they get the right person as the new CEO there is the possibility of a turnaround. That's why I added @49p on the first dip (dip hardly describes what happened).

And dig deep into china's alternative programmes.

It's very impressive. Massive population and growth to deal with but it's truly amazing scale. Give them credit that media won't on that one

Sbb

Wti crude will be smashed down.

It actually won't suit oilies re high prices. It will simply give value to alternatives and accelerate programmes

It's why Saudi is all into alternative industries for the future . The capital input into infrastructure is now mostly geared away from the oil structure. They were even happy to untouch taps at 40 bucks. Better something has some value now and get rid of it, than in the ground worthless later

Anyway, remember trumps pledge into last election? A big swing vote promise

"I'll make fuel dirt cheap"

Watch him on twitter. ..making love to even Iran before next election just to tank oil lol

here's a stat, or fact, for why, well, for one reason, people voted to leave...but the left liberal snowflakes like to ignore, as long as it doesn't affect them...

"Up to one in three Romanian migrants have been arrested, figures have showed, as the country ranked second in a list of foreigners held over serious offences"

That's for those who think immigration is just a good thing....

Forecasted earnings to drop nearly 10% per year over the next three years. Net profit margin down 5% on last year.

So I think anyone has a right to raise debt issue based on that alone

Debt to equity 116%. That's what? Nearly double 5 years ago? Reducing earnings and increasing debt

True to say it's debt is covered y operating cash flow for now.. if ignore forecasts.

But interest payments not currently well covered on EBIT

Some got cheated out of shares this morning,
some took advantage of the dip,
I did nothing of that sort.

Many say " in and out in 2mins "
" I think the drop was over done, bought some more "
" Quick in & out "
Believe it NOT

All money is flowing into HUR.Buy that with your gains.TLW is too risky and share price needs to stabilised before to jump in.
