This is not the place or the time to talk about Brexit, sure there is a thread about this.

Happy new Year

Just found this whites, any interest?

Goldilocks and her imaginary colocateur. For years goldilocks had slept in the same bed, a comfortable bed in a small cottage where she lived in the confused mists of a forest known as 'the market'. She had a large pot of gold that she invested wisely, willy nilly, like a dancing dervish on acid and she quickly turned that pot of gold into a smaller pot of valuable copper coins. These copper coins became ever more precious to Goldilocks as their 'number' dwindled. After many nights of tossing, turning, tossing again and fretting. After many nights of feeling a tightness in the very bowels of her undercarriage, many nights of dripping with the cold sweat of fear and the realisation that she had been 'on the wrong bus', riding the wrong surf without a surfboard, she came to the understanding that a fool had been sleeping her bed. The very next day she resolved to do something about it, afterall a New Year should perhaps présage a new approach.
She got straight back into the saddle and ventured back out into the woody wilderness of undulating stocks, commodities and indices that she had chosen to call her home, without ever learning a little 'woodcraft'. She knew it as her patch, her manor if you like, but this year she chose a new path, a path that she had never trodden before. She walked along this new, vibrant and exciting path and quickly discovered the beauty of new knowledge. On the very path itself, in plain view, were new flowers, flowers that spelt hope, Stochs flowers, sMA flowers, RSI flowers and others with the potential to provide the nourishing engrais that would coax to flower, the handfull of copper seed that remained within her diminutive pot. With immediate clarity of mind she chopped these flowers down and discarded them, in order to have a clear path to her future. After all, she had confidence in abundance and when combined with blind hope she realised that she would not need the courage to seek out new knowledge. Why seek out new knowledge, when the knowledge she was already putting to good use, had turned a large pot of worhtless gold coins, into a mini ramekin half full of penny pieces that meant so much to her. Confidence in herself together with blind faith, would always see her through the dark times. She had no time, no time at all to find the courage to learn and even less desire to work on the faith she would need to put her new learning into practice. She reasoned that it will be alright, because it always is.

Leoneobull is one of those people that believes all cultures are the same, not because the facts say they are (which they don't), but because he/she so desperately wants it to be so...and in that delusion ignores the stats and facts....these people will only realise their error at the point of absolute annihilation, and a small number, not even then...due to total apathy and tolerance, the last virtues of a dying civilisation

We like to see ourselves as liberal and tolerant, but yet in the last decade we've accepted 100's of thousands of people from cultures, with values and behaviours that are radical and intolerant....that is a very unusual and dangerous, and unnatural behaviour....we tolerate intolerance...and in doing so, make our place more uncivilised and dangerous.

Have a good one Master RSI.

Spot on DeanRobert.

Leoneobull is deluded. Clearly not very bright either as rejoining the EU would be even more costly for the UK than it is now!!!

No Euro opt out.
Completely subsumed into a United States of Europe
Even higher annual Contributions
Even more third world savages forced on UK that already is filled to bursting England side.

looking forward to a great 2020 folks

At last we have a wonderful Conservative Govt dominated by the right, we will be out of the socialist EU "project" and will once again have a proper place on the world stage.

The only downside I see in 2020 is that Greggs is gonna introduce a "vegan range"

For Tullow, carapa-1 is gonna be a big deal, RNS any day now

Oh, and for me the higher highs/higher lows make it a clear trend on your FTSE chart. The straight line drawn between 2 points provides a place to look carefull at should price come close to touching it again. Also, you could probably draw that straight line with 4 touches and some breaches (maybe not closes below). I've not looked closely as I'm cooking and drinking a Sauvignon!! Cheers.

Yes, exactly that Master, the 'whites method' I like to think of it as. Sorry the link didn't work. It was a small trade on his part so no point getting his hands dirty trying to claw a little back from the pan!

Good luck all. 2019 has been kind to me, I'll work hard to make 2020 kinder.

What a treat. I just came across this and some like it "2 points" for the Trends....

These indices can rally in 2020, but will FTSE 100 top 8,000?
by Alistair Strang from Trends and Targets | 31st December 2019 08:53

In his last report of 2019, our analyst provides 'cut out and keep' forecasts for the new year.

Finally, the FTSE 100. It feels like 7,860 should provoke some sort of ceiling but, if exceeded, the index could clamber up to 8,050, a point where oxygen masks risk failing. The UK market requires below 6,750 to give serious concern for its future.

Our best wishes for a profitable 2020. And thanks for tolerating this headline section, where we try and use words to glue the numbers together!
