Retsius. No worries mate. Sorry for abusing you in response. We get a few trolls on here and -as Pavey Ark says- you can’t stop them. So it’s a sorry from me.
Yes PA it’s gone from $4 discount with Petrotrin to alleged$3 premium as heavy oil.
Trin is strongly supported by institutions and advisors who value the present modus operandi. I have not made that up.
I hava also been at rock bottom before with Trin and this does not come close. Different company then.
We have to wait for many factors-geo/political/economic/ to settle. Politics playing the biggest part from the top down IMO. “ America First”. Roll on quasi-impeachment.
And Imbertcile ( T and T P.M.) Lunatics really have taken over the asylum. Not to mention Vlad the Impaler who is as evil as it gets. Watch out NATO.
This bed of uncertainty along with trade wars keeps oil down and that is the aim of the latter IMO.
In this context ...Trin is a solid ship in choppy waters.
More PR would help.
As would a share buyback to support low-volume s/p.
When the doubters have departed we should see progress. Darkness...dawn.

Hi PA, yes Good to see the dust is settling, Current WTI Sales agreement is a big boost and has removed a stealth tax from less than 12months ago. The discount used to be between 5-10% so to be getting a premium is a big uplift. The swing from discount to premium mitigates pretty much half the SPT tax, so it as a big positive.

Good to see some calm returning as I was about to give up here.
Small oil company bbs can attract some very strange and very nasty ,disturbed people.(present company excepted!!)
I certainly can empathise with anyone losing on this type of share as my only serious (substantial) loss in many years share trading was on a small, debt ridden oil company caught in the oil price collapse 2015/16.

Onwards and hopefully upwards.

My position here is that I have bought six times (three yesterday) and now have a reasonable holding (c. 10p)but this is now 7.5% of my portfolio and I doubt if I'll add more.

All the perceived positives have been well covered so it's simply up to individual choice "you pays your money and you takes your chance"

One positive from the bb is that I wasn't aware of the price difference in cash paid for TRIN oil and WTI.
It looks to me that TRIN is getting c.$3 more than WTI

Hi Retsius, no worries and thanks for clarifying your position. Positive and negative views are all welcome here to facilitate discussion but blunt pointless statements don't add anything imhoHave lost a bundle here too but am holding on in the belief that the operational improvements will spark a sudden re-rate soon. Scada and HAW are both looking really positive but the BOD are holding back any enthusiasm at this point until they are clear what they can each deliver. Scada in particular looks interesting with the ability to bring old wells back on line / increase existing production & therefore NAV. Hoping for updates on both with a plan before the next Q update (showing production @3400!) Hopefully I am right to hold on but hope you time your re-entry well and this ends a profitable experience for you.

Sorry guys if I upset some of you with a rather abrupt assessment yesterday.

Lost a bundle with this share, but bailed out two months ago with swingeing loss.

There are some really positive comments on the financial state and new drilling techniques but the share price remains significantly depressed.
Re entry if any signs of resurgence...
R.

Otemple. I second that. Such comments simply help nobody. Longer term pr new investors.Pure immature and ignorant narcissism. (Yet again... we have to share the world , don’t we.)

In case people missed this last week, A good presentation with a few things added to the TRIN story, having read the presentation it is good to add light to the HAW well, the data so far is matching the design curve, so although they are running it at 84bopd it is Intended to be run at 134bopd when the testing is done, so that is a very worthwhile jump on a conventional well. Also interestingly Bruce mentioned that there is a couple of hundred wells that could be brought back on line with SCADA having been shut down due to being uneconomical. Really shows how the technology could produce some low hanging fruit.

Good to finally see a bit of buying, despite dropping the bid by a lot they did not drop the offer by much.

I believed it was $3-4 above after meetings.
Yes comfortably into $60 range I would suggest.
Q4 results week 3 Jan. should show bopd end of year around 3,400 and ave realised price in high fifties or more as we have 2 months left.
Insurace payment will take cut out of capex but it is pre-budget so should be favourable.
Drone strike increased hedging so that should offset some budget theft and HAW increase too. More HAW’s will mean higher costvinitial drilling but seem to be yielding more than 100% increase ( 50 bopd ave well to 134 bopd). I am notvtge numbervone number cruncher but believe I am reasonably accurate.
It is my opinion that regardless of Mr. 100k seller that we are fairly stable here and looking forward and upward. Sad that more patience needed but the best price of underrated high-NAV is at falsely low sentiment at or near the bottom.

Langland. It came about after the break-up of Petrotrin who were “discounting” their sales. The accounts proved decidedly questionnable.
The premium is because onshore T and T is of a heavier variety than light sweet crude and this is not as abundant as e.g.shale. Venezuela used to provide it but are not capable now.
I think it is something that Trin should publicise but perhaps tgeir hands are tied. Several potential reasons I think.

Means we should be nicely into the 60 now which is where it starts to get s lot more attractive...

TRIN historically have been paid 5-10% below WTI so it is a significant improvement on past payments.

langland, hello, yes I provided a chart demonstrating this. TRIN state their achieved price for H1 19. This can be compared with WTI for H1 - - -

Someone stated that Trin achieves a 3$ premium over WTI for its production. Where does the company state this please?

Oil firming steadily. Pull-back at some stage but sub $60 just isn’t sustainable. Even to the shale business which is suffering from falling on its own sword.
Patience patience...

Hello! "SCADA" can feel a little intangible, so perhaps google and read around "Smarter Well Management Diversified Oil Gas". Bruce has referenced DOG on more than one occasion....enjoy

I do think the big seller has gone, not had one of their trademark sells all week which is unheard of. Anyone wanting to buy any volume will struggle now so hopefully will start to recover from here
