There is free speech and there is justifiable free speech. Bulls don’t enter china shops. Not everyone is secure in their convictions and there is such a thing as common good morality.
I do not believe in posting on boards where I don’t hold shares as it is not my business . Nor do I believe in utter free speech withoit consideration . IS spoke very freely . As did Adolf/Mao Tse Tung/Stalin/Mussolini/Trump bla bla. Free speech is not what it may seem.
Let civility and decency prevail.
And why has my question to MT not been answered directly????

Galeota Mix 37.8° 0.19%(sulphur) Trinidad....NB: ultra low sulphur

From long list of all the world prices on Wikipedia.
As far as I can see the list is dated c. Nov 2017

If anyone is influenced by posts from MT given his background/previous posts and investing history here then more fool them.

I did post previously about the wide range in density and sulphur present in oil even from from within the same producing area/ country.

The East coast production (1200 bpd) feeds into the Galeota export terminal as does a number of nearby oil fields.
The new/proposed Galeota well (hint: the name)will feed into the same export terminal.

Guys Although I don't necessarily agree with MT, I don't think it's fair to say that if you don't hold shares you shouldn't be allowed to have a voice or post your opinions. As long aw we have researched OUR investment, understand it thoroughly and know the risks, it shouldn't matter to us what someone else's opinion is. I personally have no problem with anyone posting positive or negative aspects about my investments. They are simply exercising their right of free speech. I can disagree and post a rebuttal if I wish to do so.The other aspect of having both negatives and positives is that it adds balance to the BB

As i've said previously nocents,he's a very bitter and sad individual, he went in large @25p just before the 15p placing.
And that's after his expert research(along with his professional investor friends)
He's a muppet.

Please have the grace to answer question honestly. The truth. To ignore would be a very poor sign...as would an untrue response.
I do not post on TXP as I do not hold shares and would answer truthfully if someone asked me why. Especially if I had previously said I woukd not post here out of respect for holders. I await your honest response.

MT.
I have previously valued your input and have resonated with Marvelman to a degree.
But I remember you saying you would no longer post on this board.
I just don’t get it.
I am not going to argue the content.
Ypu no longer hold Trin.
As I do not read TXP I have no idea if u hold them.
WHY (!) are you posting this stuff here?? I don’t want to argue the content...albeit extremely negative.
WHY are you posting it??
That is the most salient question.

ECO bubble bursts today - down 50% - analysis of the two recent discoveries has confirmed they have found high sulphur content heavy crude - very IMO 2020 unfriendly!

You can do reasearch over the last 6 quarter results and see that the share price has only ever dropped after each one. Id say that by the time Q1 come the share price will be between 8-9p...results may give a little push to 10-11p then sellers will make a quick buck if they bought at 9p and the share price will drop back to 8p. Only in my opinion based on recent history i may add

astorcourt, yes, and the list is growing longer by the day but here I am !!!

Mark pretty much covered my position here but I have to add that not only is this company debt free it has repeatedly said that cash generation is its number one aim.

The company has cash, is generating cash and has very large stable reserves but the most important thing for me is that is appears to have a significant advantage over almost the entire industry worldwide in that its production costs are very low and exploration risks are very, very low.

I was tempted back into oil by the profile/potential of TRIN and after my loss on my last venture you can imagine that I must have been very impressed with what I found here.

As always in share buying "you pays your money and you takes your chance".

Anyway, thanks for the reminder.

Astrocourt, I would add something to your post, avoid small aim oilers with debt.

TRIN is the only T&T oiler that is not only debt free but has a significant cash balance. PA (unlike many of us LT holders) avoided the pain to get to that envious position. Anyone accumulating now is doing so at a near 40% discount to the placing, the 15p price at the time was claimed by some as cheap and letting friends and insiders get hold of cheap TRIN shares. I suspect many of them, Bruce included would like to have paid 10p!

Pavey Ark,
have you not learn't from your mistakes? stay clear of small oilers.

CAZA, MATRA, TIMAN, EEL, NIGHTHAWK, OILEX, EXCITE, BARON, AFREN, SOLO, GKP, PANR and on and on and on and on and on....

BHP Sounding positive today:

"Our portfolio of quality assets and pipeline of competitive growth options are expected to generate strong free cash flow and returns through the 2020s and beyond", Ms Slattery said.

Petroleum's growth options currently include Scarborough, Wildling Phase I, Trion and Trinidad & Tobago North. While these remain subject to our strict Capital Allocation Framework, they are well placed to compete with other options in the Group's portfolio."

Someone should let BHP know about IMO 2020. They may rethink their $500 million investment in T&T targeting 16,000 barrels of oil per day.

mark, on a more positive note, thanks for the info.
My previous figures for Galeota Mix crude came from a previous Wikipedia link but either way they show very, very low sulphur figures which seems to be the hot topic here.
I know that we are agreed that TRIN are fortunate to have such a diverse production base and the onshore crude looks as if it balances the offshore very nicely.

Interesting to see the range in density and sulphur content in all the large producing areas US, Saudi and the North Sea.(I mean the range within the same country/region)

My only other oil share cost me much gold but it was debt ridden which I chose to ignore , never again, and every share I have bought since then has had net cash.

When people look at Trin the onshore costs must jump out at them and with a little bit of luck the break even should be close to $15 very soon.
My earlier post shows the break even for US shale ($40 to $60+) and it wouldn't take much to put a dent in that supply.

lots to be positive about here but things can always go wrong. Better not to go out and try and invent problems as some people do as they can crop up all by themselves.

mm, firstly I must make it clear that I'm a newcomer here but from what I've seen I find it incredibly difficult to understand where you get your opinion of MT from.

Having looked back at some of the posts on here I find myself in agreement with Mark and Archie.

I am always suspicious of non holders posting repeatedly on a bb and have never met one who was anything other than bitter or malicious or both.
The occasional post is fine but repeated posting always shows an ulterior motive.

This guy may have shown some insight/knowledge in the past but certainly not in my time on here.

A little chat about the type of oil produced by TRIN or a comment or two about the new legislation regarding fuel used in shipping is fine ,and welcome, but to try and distort and mislead by repeated posting on a share you no longer own is not to my liking.
Sadly this type of behaviour is an everyday occurrence on some BBs.

Having just read MT’s post on TXP his posting here makes more sense as he modified the TXP post to justify them going after gas....

It was a very lengthy post from MT to try and make a case for TXP drilling for gas that is months away from monetisation. Even then, with the benefit of hindsight, gas prices paid to T&T producers has halved since the project commenced, currently at the low levels seen over 15 years ago.

So in order to make a case for his investment he bombs all the T&T producers trying to make a point that the oil in T&T is of poor quality (clearly not the case given to its premium to WTI). Mean while gas is cratering....

Spellbrook, Thanks for that.
I have said before that the Galeota project is the lever to be used to get reform of the tax system.

NOW TO THE GARDEN.

Been my run along the beach, having two delicious scrambled egg rolls and about to head out for what MUST be the last garden leaf clearing of the year.

Before I go I thought I would inject a positive note here:

"How much does it cost to produce shale oil?
Shale oil costs more than conventional oil to extract, ranging from a cost-per-barrel of production from as low as $40 to over $90 a barrel. The cost of conventional oil varies so much that Saudi Arabia can produce at under $10 per barrel, while worldwide costs range from $30 to $40 a barrel.8 Aug 2019"

Hmmm !!

Doesn't that put TRIN at some sort of an advantage?

Quiet, you stupid boy !!!

You must have it all wrong !!
