Whiskey, will be interested to hear your comments post EGM. At recent AGM I found chat over coffee after official proceedings to be particularly interesting. Great RNS and I think very fair allocation. Don’t expect to see significant number of sellers coming forward.

I don't think averaging down with £10k worth of shares will work terribly well for most people if they sell those 15p shares at 16p. Should encourage people to hold on for long term perhaps .

Lol. £10k min was exactly the fairness that I was hoping for. Maybe somebody at Trinity reads advfn.

RNS explaining the placing, seems to have been handled in the best possible way. I am sure there will be a few flippers who overstretched expecting to be scaled back but 16p seems grossly undervalued for the NEW TRIN.

Roos - I am one of the few paid up members of the Tartan Army who wish England well!. Good to hear!

Looking in the sports pages of the Scotsman on-line - you would never know there was a World Cup going on for all the coverage it gets!

Huge article on Rangers looking to buy a player most football fans will have never heard of for £3m - (barely Ronaldo's monthly salary).

Rangers and Celtic should apply to join the Premier League - the clubs in the Scottish Premier league get a pot of circa £20m a season shared out between them from TV rights. In England the bottom 6 clubs EACH get circa £75m a season!

Talk about the poor country cousins!

As a cycling fan i'm old enough to remember when it was a huge accomplishment for the Brits to get a cyclist to Paris in the Tour De France, never mind be competitive. For Brits to have won 4 of the last 5 is an incredible achievement and something the Nation should celebrate because these things usually go in cycles and it could well be a very long time before we see such success again after Chris Froome departs the scene.

No maximum. They will have taken all your money in case you get full allocation, if you don't get full allocation you will get balance back.

You have to have the funds for all shares you ask for, otherwise people would apply for more than they want in hope they'll get exactly what they want when scaled back.

Dunder- I aaked Hargreaves yesterday about attending. They said i was too late and added that blagging way in probably wouldn't work as Trinity are "particularly fastidious". No surprises about Trinity being fastidious!

Uber Oil bear Barclays throws in the towel for H2/2018 and 2019!

In the middle of April, Barclays expected oil prices to collapse in the second half of this year - telling the market to expect $57 Brent by the third and fourth quarters - as it saw a new supply surplus looming because of an “overstated221; impact of Iran and Venezuela on the oil market( an urgent spec-saver group appointment for their expensive team of 'analysts' was perhaps in order).

For the second half of 2018, Barclays said yesterday that it now sees Brent averaging $73, some 28% higher than its April price call, as it expects "lower supply from Iran and Libya to further tighten the oil market." (never mind Venezuela where oil production continued to fall off a cliff!)

“Due to new outages and a quicker Iran supply reduction, we see Brent prices averaging $71 next year,” said Barclays - up from a previous forecast of $65.

According to the bank, OPEC and Russia’s decision to reverse some of the production cuts would deplete the global spare capacity cushion and push prices up, but OPEC’s leader Saudi Arabia, as well as Russia, would be making efforts to cap a big upside in oil prices because much higher prices would destroy oil demand growth.

“OPEC’s decision and disruptions elsewhere will deplete the market’s spare capacity cushion, raising prices,” Barclays’ analysts said after coming back from their spec-saver appointment.

Possibly what people are seeing is that their broker has taken all their money for now, and they are assuming this means they'll get all the shares they asked for but actually they will get some of their money back if its over subscribed.
