07/2/2018 08:11 | That was my buy at 89, not a sell. | ewanwhose
05/2/2018 15:21 | Agreed, both the regular tracking and the dash cam offerings look good. Consider putting tracking on 100+ vehicles at £9/month over a 12 month contract. Ok, you don't get to own the device but then you don't have to pay for one upfront. Also, it is only a 12 month contract which is short in my opinion. Whilst the install sounds easy; my only concern is that it plugs into the OBD port meaning it can also be removed easily (possibly lost) by drivers, mechanics and thieves. On the positive side of that, in my example the fleet is large meaning that the tracker can easily be transferred to another vehicle as the fleet gets renewed. What's not to like - shame the share price does not agree :( . | dc2
05/2/2018 13:45 | Looks like a good product and in line with their recent marketing. Looking forward to the trading update. | jamiemp
02/2/2018 19:31 | Start of a new era of sales: Intelligent telematics have been doing this for a while and have one contract after another. Amazing pricing and top product on the market. | blondeamon
02/2/2018 09:02 | Very difficult to apply Technical Analysis to a share as illiquid as this knowbodyyouno. | stamford hill
02/2/2018 08:59 | Amazing drop of 30% since a good update etc in oct/nov. Despite financial director buying shares and Kestrel buying over 4%. | rogash
02/2/2018 08:52 | Drifting down here. Any chartist have any ideas? Cheers | knowbodyyouno
30/1/2018 15:23 | thanks, I should have checked these myself - just bored, watching tumbleweed waiting for some news (hopefully soon) | dc2
30/1/2018 15:03 | The only contracts we have heard about from an RNS are Iceland and Calor Gas which is roughly 3100 devices. | blondeamon
30/1/2018 14:54 | Blondeamon, any idea how many Roadhawk 600s are out there? | dc2
30/1/2018 12:13 | Read this article from a CEO of another telematics company on the future of telematics: He just described the Roadhawk 600 | blondeamon
27/1/2018 09:27 | Really nice. They also started their first ever radio campaign on Talksport earlier this week. | blondeamon
27/1/2018 09:02 | Nice bit of advertising. Televised on BBC1 Sunday. | michaelmouse
25/1/2018 10:04 | Telematics business by definition are geared to have cash and profits explode when they do nothing. That's because of the recurring revenue side of the business. When you get a new contract for 2000 devices, with SaaS you have to spend your cash to build and deploy those devices and give the client 1 month free. Then you spend 2-4 months to break even and from there on every month after that has a 90%+ profit margin as you only pay for airtime and storage of data. That's why before year end 17 when they booked/updated 6 contracts within few months the cash went down and working capital increased. Then by Half Year cash were a lot higher and working capital a lot lower. I suspect that without new contracts since, the cash and working capital now will look quite well. Of course they should always chase big contracts and continue to pursue Sales, that's a given. But it wouldn't hurt to cut down Engineering and non-sales staff now to bring down expenses as they focused on selling their state-of-the-art products. About time the shareholders reap some rewards. | blondeamon
24/1/2018 20:19 | Wouldn't advocate "doing nothing" but being very selective in expenditure could get us in a positive position to move the share price forwards. | ewanwhose
22/1/2018 21:39 | Data security and data breach avoidance is one of the biggest worries of all companies today and by leading in GDPR you gain a competitive advantage against your rivals. This is true for all sectors, from Amazon to Shell to Lloyds. GDPR affects every company in the EEA and early adopters can have big benefits in brand recognition. | blondeamon
22/1/2018 20:28 | Trakm8 is about automation. They can easily make tracking data anonymous by having an encrypted ID code rather than any personal identifier. The big question would be around automated decisions:"Automated decisions you have the right not to be subject to any "automated decision" that would significantly affect you"A decision based on data from a few journeys can make you uninsurable, whether the data was correct or not. It is made clear when you apply that information collected is shared with other insurers. | nod
22/1/2018 16:16 | GDPR that allows professional drivers to opt out seems weird to me especially around areas concerning driver feedback and incentives (I may not understand it enough). But rules are rules and it is good to hear they are engaged with it. | dc2
22/1/2018 15:45 | Trakm8 ahead in GDPR implementation, a clear competitive advantage | blondeamon
19/1/2018 10:02 | At this GBP/USD level TRAK got back the extra 600k in costs for raw materials they had last year. Anything above that will save them money. | blondeamon
19/1/2018 08:15 | After I posted my original comments I rationalised as to why I may have been targeted. My 22 year old daughter who is also on usp had just changed insurance for her car.If trak are targeting that target audience -she does not have any form of "black box" -all to the good.Good to see TRAK (relatively) innovative in terms of marketing communications. | bhxian

18/1/2018 21:07 | I pay for Google Ads. Demographics is difficult to specify as an advertiser because Google doesn't quite know everything about everyone - although they are working on this. You may have noticed how ads pop up about something you've been searching in Google or mentioned in an email conversation (if you or the email recipient use gmail or the gmail service with your own domain). Google collects keywords to deliver related ads to users. Google is especially good at targeting ads to you if you're a Chrome user. It seems to know what I'm thinking... Edit> There's an example. I submitted the post above and up pops a Google Ad about Renovating. I've been painting rooms the last few days. I haven't done any Google searches for paint products or renovation yet my recent Google Ads have been about Renovating Homes. Scary .... | nod |
