24/2/2018 12:43 | The AA connection must make Trakm8 an attractive proposition for investors and bigger players now | she-ra
24/2/2018 12:28 | Big article in the FT re:AA today. A couple of extracts read as follows:- "A bumpy road lies ahead for the AA. The debt riddled breakdown provider is seeking to reinvent itself as a technology and product marketing group, with systems that spot engine failures before they happen, and a thriving motor and home insurance business" "Some of the larger shareholders (AA) are also convinced by the need to shift towards high levels of technology, more insurance sales and target younger customers, several said." "What they are doing is no surprise to us", said one. "They are trying to do completely the right thing". To be frank, I'd imagine medium to long term it would be cheaper for the AA to simply buy Trakm8 rather than keep stumping up money for their technology. In addition, given the AA's huge commitment to investing in Trakm8's technology, I'm not too sure that they'd be very happy if someone else came and offered to buy Trakm8 instead. Off topic. Blondeamon, thanks for removing the offending post on twitter, much appreciated. The individual in question is not of sound mind and is now trying to PM me on this site. | michaelmouse
23/2/2018 08:39 | Early signs are that it was uncertainty related to the AA rather than Trakm8 that caused the share price to retreat. Now that uncertainty has been removed (much to Trakm8's advantage), the share price should start to move forward again. Given the illiquidity, it could move very rapidly. | michaelmouse
23/2/2018 08:37 | Cheers PJ1! Blondeamon is the resident font of knowledge here, I'm a novice at present :o)) Nice start today. | rivaldo
23/2/2018 08:35 | Can’t see anyone off this train before results day. Off we go! Beep Beep! | 40toolong
23/2/2018 08:02 | Check how invested AA is on both the Car Genie and its Fleet Intelligence product for B2B Won't be long before cameras appear and ADAS added to the proposition IMO. | blondeamon
22/2/2018 20:39 | Welcome rivaldo It will certainly be interesting to see who posts more links to information to the thread between you and blondeamon!!! | pj 1
22/2/2018 13:44 | Been buying some of these in the wake of the AA announcement. The Finncap report today talks about a full rollout with the AA alone being worth £100m to TRAK, with a near-term push underpinning forecasts for the coming year of 10p EPS. They retain their 180p target for the moment. I note that the buying price is now moving up fast and is currently up at the full 91p offer. | rivaldo
22/2/2018 08:35 | Finncap note today on Trak/benefits from AA. announcement | jamiemp
22/2/2018 07:42 | Morning all, Well it will be interesting to see what happens today to the share price I would expect a slow and steady track upwards towards the next announcement with a possible spike if there are any Contract Wins or Special Annoucnements. I would expect to be clear of 100p before the end of Feb. GLA. | 40toolong
21/2/2018 15:40 | This is the last year of SaaS impacting TRAK as well, afterwards all the benefits of 2016-2018 will start to show in improved cashflow from previous contracts. Rise of the ££ also has gained back the 600k extra costs of the last year. Our partners doing the selling for us now, getting more clients for Trakm8 at the same time as our own Sales teams in full force looking for new Fleet contracts. I'd say the company looks better than ever. With FY results if debt is close to 0 it will signal a new re-rating wave IMO. A new contract win could give us the spark we need, didn't have one since Calor Gas in August. | blondeamon
21/2/2018 12:06 | I can see it taking a few days for people to realise the winners of the AA results and announcement today. At the moment all focus is on the negative | ch1ck
21/2/2018 10:20 | I have been waiting to reinvest here picked up lots more this morning | ch1ck

21/2/2018 08:43 | Bought in on the back of AA announcement. | waterloo01
21/2/2018 08:39 | Excellent summary blondeamon. I was musing that the recent pull back in the Trakm8 share price might be due to uncertainty regarding the strategic direction of the AA. In other words, where the AA were going to make cost savings? Fortunately for Trakm8 the AA are planning to cut their dividend payments back and increase investment in the technology. Fabulous for shareholders here, not so much (short term) for AA shareholders. Good news this morning. | michaelmouse
21/2/2018 08:30 | Bought some more on open, these news are amazing for TRAK. 1) "Tens of thousands more car genies" = more recurring revenue, bigger penetration of the product which will encourage other countries in Europe to follow sooner (Ireland, Denmark, Austria). More TV ads and rabio ads featuring our product for free. 2) They plan to make an insurance product based on telematics, it's an idea that makes absolute sense. And even offer it to non-members. Whoever won't be buying the Genie might be buying a telematics insurance from AA, it all comes down to TRAK products and selling the data proposition. 3) "They have also attracted significant interest from our B2B partners and we are exploring ways to leverage these products with them." 10m B2B clients of the AA now want to use the Car Genie in their fleets. They don't want a roadside partner, a telematics partner and an insurance partner. They want to go to one place and get all 3 and the AA will be able to offer all these exclusively via TRAK's data and products. They plan to spend an extra £15m on these new features this year alone. TRAK is now an invaluable partner of AA and there is absolutely no way they could switch away even if they wanted to once this integration is so deep, so we're going in for the long ride with them as a strategic partner. | blondeamon
21/2/2018 07:51 | Still, there could be a near term investment made in Trak, now we see how committed the two businesses futures are together. | 40toolong
21/2/2018 07:28 | Yes the AA strategy review sounds extremely positive for Trakm8:- "It will take the AA from a company helping when you break down to one actually predicting when you might break down in the first place. This plan will deliver front line resource to improve the efficiency, predictability and resilience of our operations as well as investment in game-changing growth drivers - in Connected Car and Insurance." "Extended roll out of our Connected Car product to tens of thousands of our existing customers to establish customer impact and operational benefit" "Integrate digital and Connected Car products and data across businesses to provide a leading customer offering through its simplicity and as a one-stop-shop for motoring needs" It's a very big commitment to Trakm8 products by the sound of it. Without a trading update today from Trakm8, and based on the dates of past RNS statements then I'll stick my neck out and say they'll release a trading statement in April which will either be in-line or better than expectations. | michaelmouse
21/2/2018 07:26 | 40toolong Totally agree | bhxian
21/2/2018 07:14 | Well the AA Strategy launch is at 9am but the RNS focuses heavily on Car Genie. They want to extend the roll out to “tens of thousands of their existing customers” All great news for Trak | 40toolong
20/2/2018 09:18 | Yes a positive review of the Car Genie would go a long way. They also were hiring and planning to introduce the Car Genie to their B2B clients back in November so perhaps we can hear their plans on that as well. They have 10m B2B clients, that is a huge market to tap to sell RoadHawk 600s and ADAS features which are coming soon. | blondeamon
20/2/2018 08:52 | My impatience kicking in. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon..... Oh well Blondey, we have been here long enough...let’s hope for at least a mention in the AA review tomorrow. Will keep my fingers crossed. | 40toolong |
