Elrico, then perhaps you should be clearer in your original post to avoid misleading people.

If I had to guess about the AA contract I would say that perhaps the market thinks that the AA is an easy take out target and all bets would be off. Implying (I have not read an official statement by either company but please post if you have something) that you are going to spend x on company A does not mean you will do so. I am sure an RNS would be sent out by one of them if a legally binding contract was in place that detailed an intention of that magnitude.

Perhaps we will hear more in the next few weeks.

She-ra - I have no such concern for shareholders, not even the 3 acquaintances invested. They're big enough and ugly enough to look after themselves. :)

Answer me this. If as reported the AA contract could be worth up to £100m to TRAKM8 why the market don't seem impressed with such a number, given the market cap of TRAKM8? Could it be I have a point?

To be fair, TRAKM8 BOD are not in a position to offer much in the way of clarity on this front without breaching NDA's and or giving away too much financial details to potential partners. It's always a fine balance; PI needs to be patient and trust BOD in these type of situations.

Yes elrico we would be better off with out contracts like AA or from any company for that matter. Trakm8 should just not do any business anymore.

I'm sure that you knowing that investors are being offered 101.75 to sell and 105 to buy(98 bid/105 ask at time of writing) has nothing to do with your genuine concern for all us shareholders.

dc2 - My point isn't about fairness between AA & RAC. My point is one of wondering how the debacle at AA is going to manifest itself on TRAKM8 and more importantly, margins. Many here were hoping (as was I) the much touted £100m figure over the life of the marriage would signal a change in TRAKM8 fortunes, which is badly needed. I fear TRAKM8 may be screwed on margins by AA. The additional burden is R&D spend, which again, is an issue if the margins from your largest client are not helping you keep a pace in a very competitive sector.

Elrico, this tactic is not exclusive to the AA. Annoyingly many companies treat loyalty as an excuse to exploit their client base.

For fairness - here is a similar article for the RAC

Drivers hit by 124% rise for breakdown cover with AA as insurer renews breakdown policies automatically

Customers who take out the firm's top-level policy pay £179 in the first year
However, this rises to £401 in the second year — a 124% increase
The hike affect all customers who take out the highest grade of cover
Joint membership policies also rise by 81%, the breakdown provider admitted

Agreed Blonde but if they are being bought by someone who will be making an announcement it is perfectly acceptable for them to be acquiring a bigger stake.

Without institutional interest this won't move much. We need a fund to start buying on the market.

That can only happen after the results if everything goes as planned. Announcing new contracts will not be expected and will be a rocket under the share price

I'd love to see £2 by the end of the year.

Just did a dummy sell at 10,000 and then 20,000 and then 30,000.

All at 99p

Watch this space, someone is on a catchall for these shares....

Typically is because there is a buyer in the wings, gobbling up any cheap shares before they make a declaration.

Of course this could happen at anytime

If it is by a competitor (Masternuaght, Tom tom etc) I think that will probably be at the CV show where they can create some natural hype for the industry.

Something is going on, just don’t know what, when or with whom.

Expert me!

Was curious about those above mid price buys at 99p so did a test sell of 1000 and could get 99p. Does anyone know why this happens?

GBP/USD now back to where it was before Brexit, those 600k in losses should be gained back now and added to this and the next financial years.

No small amount, as it goes directly to the bottom line.

"Visitors at the Trakm8 stand will be able to chat with the team about how the RH600 could be deployed to their own fleet and also demo first-hand our progress in building Advanced Driver Assistance (ADAS) features. We will be demonstrating our micro-sleeping and driver distraction algorithms which will be introduced to the RH600 over the coming months"

ADAS features coming soon too. The RH600 is a beast, it has everything packed into one device and I doubt there's anything like it in the world right now.

Should be announced soon, this will IMO open a whole new market as ADAS has huge demand on its own.

Someone mentioned on another BB that they had done some jiggery pokery with their shares. "Bed and ISA", I believe was the colloquial description. It's possible that others have been involved in similar 'action'. If so, it might explain the share price oddity. However, the current upward movement is not something I will complain about (despite deciding not to top up a little this morning!!).

It has been a strange how it has refused to go below 92p despite so much selling over the last month or so.

I guess all will be revealed in time. a) who the buyer is or b) what the year has been like.

Either way, topping up as wont be long!

RNS for a 200k approximately contract? If you believe it's all good news why not buy?

IMO sub pound prices are a bargain but what do I know.

2 weeks until trading update for full year.

Edit: I do agree with you - something seems very odd lately - looks like a buyer (not that I have a clue)

why no RNS?

Why a share price that cannot seem to move.

Would not let me but 600 shares just now.

Something is up

Be patient, I see lots of really good news. You just need to know where to look.

Europe seems to be going much better than I expected. April and May should have contract wins announced.

Sub pound prices IMO are a bargain not many realise here.

I would think it's to do with the end of the tax year. Would be good to have some form of update from the BOD, at some point soon. Whilst I'm not keen on the release of RNS for changes of toilet paper and so on, it's about time for some news of progress to date and looking forward. I think.

It could be as bhxian suggests. End of the financial year, people capitalising profits/losses and shifting into ISA type shells.

Any clue to what is going on here? Lots of big sells and yet the price is not moving.
