29/4/2018 10:04 | Blonde, don’t kid yourself, the BoD would take 3.50–3.80 a share (odd that is what the DLG share price is at the moment. Share swap on Wed?) as they must see all of the fierce competition around them and they know that no matter what they do, they will never be the Darling of AIM again. They must want out, the stresses and strains of being the ugly listed stock could all be ended with a handshake to DLG. DLG could boost their breakdown and insurance business by buying Trak and shutting the door on the AA and others or makes lots of money by licensing it out at a steeper margin. DLG has a market cap of £5.1bn. AA has one of £820m. For £100m DLG could really trip up the AA as they have pinned their future on Trak. Watch this space. If it goes for over £10.00 ever Blonde, I will be flabbergasted... | 40toolong
29/4/2018 08:38 | There is also a new insurtech company that will go live in May and if my research is correct, it uses Trakm8 behind it. That's quite significant as it will not use traditional insurance products but will rely on technology solely. On top of DLG and Marmalade, a new offering will diversify TRAK's leadership in UK as the #1 provider in the insurance telematics space. I still don't think any of these companies will invest in Trakm8 as competition is fierce and plenty others could replace them if something went wrong. They use only trackers from TRAK not any sophisticated cameras. The AA and Intelematics on the other hand are basing their pan European common product on Trakm8. They tied their product's future with that of this company and would make sense to invest. In any case the directors/founders here wouldn't sell easily, they're all above 50-60yo and small chances of giving away their nice salaries for anything less than £10 to a bidder. Last time they gave something away to an institution was at the placing at 330p where they gave sth like 3%. I suspect by this time next year TRAK will be doing a new record high. | blondeamon
28/4/2018 22:45 | And I quote from the DLG job site “Telematics Pricing Manager As the motor insurance market is transforming, the way in which motor insurance will be priced in the future will change; this is why telematics is one of Direct Line Group’s top strategic priorities” | 40toolong
27/4/2018 16:50 | Interesting to see DLG next week. Could be time for them to make a move on their long standing partner and then license the technology to the AA, European Breakdown businesses AND Green Flag, which they own. Top up on Monday for me | 40toolong
27/4/2018 13:16 | And another Fleet contract, 400 devices for HW Martin: This is the third Fleet contract this month after the one in Europe, Scottish Power extension for cameras and now Trakm8 Asset devices. Again, too small for an RNS but quite important and towards the right direction of juicy Fleet margins. | blondeamon
26/4/2018 08:45 | The guy on the stand did say take up was strong (but he's a sales guy so would say that) | dc2
26/4/2018 08:22 | Thanks for sharing I think after missing out last year because of missed deadline they wanted to go big this year and it's also the official launch of the RH600 Product is top of the game, hope many companies had the chance to see it and consider a trial. | blondeamon
25/4/2018 11:21 | I heard the Queens awards is a bit like the Oscars, you've got to campaign for it. | she-ra
25/4/2018 11:18 | Quartix (QTX), one of TRAK’s main rivals, has just been awarded a 2018 Queen's Award for Enterprise in the category of Innovation. The award is in recognition of the "innovation and outstanding results" of its development of the Quartix SafeSpeed Database which records detailed vehicle speed data for more than one million road segments in the UK. The Database is designed to help insurers and commercial fleet operators identify and eliminate high-risk driving behaviour. One of the reasons why TRAK’s long suffering shareholders stick with it, is the belief that, unlike QTX, TRAK has some great IP and technology which will give it a competitive edge over its rivals and lead to a long overdue re-rating in its shares. According to Stockopedia TRAK’s revenues of £28.3m are higher than QTX’s (£24.5m). Yet the latter’s market capitalisation of £181.3m is roughly six times bigger than TRAK’s market cap. QTX’s announcement of its Queen’s award suggests it is not such an over-rated stock as some of TRAK’s supporters sometimes suggest. | bottomfisher
24/4/2018 15:21 | Its £770 and it doesn't cost that much to make them. That's the retail price. Cash hasn't gone down £3 million. | she-ra
24/4/2018 15:07 | Check out how much the RoadHawk 600 costs: More than £1000 and last year they built 3000 of those, that's £3m of TRAK's sweet cash pile wiped out. Almost all of it to be precise. And although everyone looked at why cash dissapeared, no one stops to think that this is amazing and that soon these will make cash explode after they break even. That cash go down with SaaS at the beginning of the contract and blow up 12 months later and as long as the contract is there, for years and years. I think FY19 will he quite ahead of expectations as all the last year installations have broken even(Iceland, Calor Gas, Scottish Power etc) and margins will be substantially higher, on also much higher revenues. | blondeamon
24/4/2018 10:06 | Stand was busy with lots of interest. Looks good | 40toolong
23/4/2018 14:30 | I thought you might be in the vending machine Blondey handing out units with a Robert voice. “Please rollout” Will report back. | 40toolong
23/4/2018 14:06 | Let us know what you find out. | blondeamon
23/4/2018 13:18 | Could be an announcement made at the CV Show tomorrow perhaps? When Masternaught was bought by Fleetcor a few years ago it was announced at the CV show. Chance would be a fine thing! Going up tomorrow to have a go on the vending machine! | 40toolong
23/4/2018 12:49 | Another day where the share is heavily sold, but the price remains the same. | knowbodyyouno
20/4/2018 08:52 | It's ok, there was plenty of evidence that it was not. | blondeamon
20/4/2018 08:21 | I must sincerely hold my hand up for my post 2489. I was misinformed as VW are using Trak Global Group for their telematics. This was an honest mistake and I hope nobody was misled by this misinformation. Once again please accept my apologies. | rogash
19/4/2018 16:02 | TRAK really does need some fresh blood on its board. | bottomfisher
19/4/2018 14:49 | Agreed, they also suck. Most brokers do but why do we care? | blondeamon
19/4/2018 14:26 | Maybe Quartix is going to make a move on Trakm8 and they cant have the same broker? | she-ra
19/4/2018 14:24 | From what I've been reading the current brokers haven't exactly covered themselves in glory. | dave2608 |
