Up 12% today and not a squeak. Solid buying throughout the day.

That is a nice whoosh this week!

Chances are we will see a breakout, a new high and three figures before the year is out.

8-)

Keeps delivering on it's promises in the past 18 months....before that they were chugging a long in a small way, however it seems they have hit a good market niche with the car tracking and driver behavior and is their real expertise...well done Mr Chairman and the rest of the team! 30 trials is excellent!

Michael, you don't seem to be sharing your thoughts much on your website lately.

Excellent interim results. Figures are very encouraging. Very positive outlook statement. This bit looks particularly intriguing:-

"Total revenues in the Solution sales segment represents 59% of the Group total. We currently have over 30 significant trials in progress and we anticipate that revenues will continue to grow strongly in this segment."

These are the recurring revenues that underpin the group's performance.

Superb management and a company that keeps delivering on promises.

:)

Onwards and upwards - with 60% of revenue recurring sales, this underpins the healthy cash generation.

The question is what are they going to acquire with the cash.

(I see that Finncap have a target price of 100p)

Yes, decent results. Meeting expectations for the year means 3.3p EPS for H2 so if you then factor in some grwoth next year, puts them on a single digit PE for the year to Mar-16. Think these should be 50% higher than they are

Results look good to me. Mention of a new contract with saga which I don't think has been announced before

Thanks Hydrus, appreciate the work you've put in here. I believe that broker figures for all newly listed companies are not issued until at least a month after listing (I dont know why this is). I hold TRAK and am not considering selling out any time soon.

Things are a bit muddied by TRAK's purchase of Box. It would be easiest to compare last years financial results but they are not comparable because of the above. Therefore for TRAK I'm going on broker figures for 2014 (thats 2014/15) and for QTX going on last year figures multiplied up by 20% as that appears to be their prospective growth rate based on what they say about current years trading in their admissions document. If anybody has broker figures for QTX that would be better. QTX: 1.56 share price, 72m mcap, 47m shares, 2013:17m revenue 4.6 profit after tax2014:21m revenue 5.5 profit after tax 11.7p EPSPE ratio: 13.3 TRAK: 0.69 share price, 20m mcap, 29m shares 2014:18m revenue 1.6m profit 5.7 EPS PE ratio: 12.1On that basis TRAK looks a bit cheaper. However I think TRAK has better growth prospects also. Brokers are forecasting 8p EPS for 2015 which is 40% growth. I also think, from reading QTX admissions document, that TRAK has more traction in insurance which is perhaps the bigger growth area. QTX appears to be more a more profitable company though which is interesting. I think it has a niche in SME's. So maybe it able to charge more? Not really sure. Both are interesting companies, but I like TRAK as at £20m mcap with faster growth it seems to me to have more headroom.

Just noticed a company that has recently listed called Quartix, QTX, which on first glance appears to be in the same line of business as TRAK. Would welcome your opinions on whether it is fair to compare the two.

From twitter Mark (marben100) holds shares in Direct Line (his largest holding I believe?). Mark listened to Direct Line's conference call which took place at 10:00am this morning following their Q3 interim management statement. He tweeted this:-

"telematics growing fast, including via web. Renewals from "best drivers" as shown by telematics increased - desirable".

This appears to verify my assumption about the Floow's recent appointment of a dedicated account manager for Direct Line (post 310).

"Firstly, point 1) suggests that the volumes of telematics device sales remain very high and therefore a dedicated day to day point of contact with Direct Line is essential."

Michael.

Gwr7 I welcome opposing views - I just don't feel your posts about wider issues were well thought out as they relied on massive assumptions as far as I can tell. If you can explain how you know there were wide spread issues if be interested to listen as the company feedback suggests otherwise. You keep referring to these problems happening in the summer which suggests you feel they have been resolved anyway. If that's the case then what's the problem? People get annoyed when posters seem to have ulterior motives. Your motives are not clear I'm afraid.

GWR7 (Narinder) - No it's you that disappoint me. Trakm8 was one of numerous longs that you have followed me into, and you decided to sell at around 80p. I suspect you are now having doubts about your sale, and so you're trying to talk down the price to buy back in.

I suggest that you read back your own posts on this subject, you'll find they are totally inconsistent. Firstly you weren't going to replace your device, now you claim you have(does the new one work?). Secondly, you detailed all the purported problems that you had experienced, and now you are claiming that others won't be aware of the problems. How does that work? You then try and assert that there are hardware and software problems. How on earth would you know? I could go on, but your ultimate aim is to try and disrupt a good and informative BB with (let me be kind) "your unsubstantiated claims".

I'd be careful what you post in future. You're not anonymous and unless you have proof of the veracity of your claims then you may well be held to account.

Michael.

You disappoint me michaelmouse. I thought you were a more measured character than to dismiss an opposing point of view as nonsense. Clearly just another punter talking up his long book.
I am neither long, nor short here. As a former investor I am alerting current holders to known problems that occurred during the summer that do not appear to be widely know or understood.
What I have been trying to point out by making a few posts, and I stress a few posts, is that, to my knowledge, Direct Line customers have not been alerted to these problems that may be affecting their installed trackm8 device without their knowledge. As there do not seem to be any failure flags, other than from the customer who may not bother to look at the data once they discover their driving score is good, the scale of the problem is difficult to quantify.
I will leave it at that. If they must, the chickens will come home to roost.

Can't be validated Hydrus? Really? As you said, your research is based on a search for forums and comments expressing dissatisfaction and is inadequate. Bury your head in the sand if you must but if you're accusing me of making up what are known problems you're going to have to come up with something better than bulletin board bluster. The thing that concerns me most is the state of the data quality control and given the safety and financial implications that ought to be top notch.

Also worth remembering that Direct Line are the largest car insurer in the UK.

Interesting appointment by the Floow (Trakm8's partners on the Direct Line contract). Two points of significance to me:-

1)"Claire will deliver a dedicated day to day point of contact for Direct Line"

2)"Earlier this year The Floow – which was recently shortlisted for the Best Telematics Based Project at the Digital Insurance and Technology Awards and won the Frost & Sullivan Award for Customer Leadership - also announced that it had received a 15% equity investment from Direct Line, enabling the organisation to further expand their expert team and extend their global reach to a host of other blue chip insurance firms."

Firstly, point 1) suggests that the volumes of telematics device sales remain very high and therefore a dedicated day to day point of contact with Direct Line is essential. Secondly, point 2) could lead to further global expansion to a host of other blue chip insurance firms for Trakm8 and the Floow assuming the partnership is working well.

As we know there are no guarantees in investing, but Trakm8 is a very long term hold for me.

Always best to concentrate on the facts and ignore any nonsense on bulletin boards.

Worth remembering the recent trading update:-

Cheers.
Michael.

Agree Harrison, I think what we have here is a single experience which can't be validated from which we should not draw any wider conclusions at all. The bit that annoys me is the inference that others were having trouble, which was blatantly just made up!

I am sorry to say this, but GWR7 posts, just add to my belief that these bulletin boards are a nonsense......Posting it twice is pathetic and no one else reports the issue. I also know the company (I hold no shares and have no axe to grind) and the feedback I get is that the Direct Line deal is going well as a fully managed service....Trakm8 have really invested in making this type of business a succcess....they will have issues...who doesn't ? They may of course be misleading me, i do accept that, but they are very bullish

It seems there were hardware and software problems during the summer and there are no alerts when devices stop transmitting. I've got my replacement but it leads me to wonder how many are driving without knowing they have an issue? I don't think anyone can answer that at this point in time.

Oh and BTW I previously spoke to a Director at the TRAK who confirmed that feedback from users was good at Direct Line. Of course the odd device might not work, but then again it depends on what the user is doing also. I assume you have sought a replacement since your first complaint months ago?
hydrus

GWR7 - this isn't the first time you've posted your complaint. I have looked into whether others are having issues with the devices and can't see any forums or comments anywhere which allude to dissatisfaction. If there were wide spread problems with them I would expect more noise. What makes you say that others are having issues too?
