12/7/2014 09:45 | I didn't realise EU legislation was mandating this: 'But EU legislation will make it compulsory for every new car to have an electronic 'SOS' black box system linked to satellite tracking that will alert the authorities to a crash.'http://www.da | hydrus
09/7/2014 19:25 | Thanks Hydrus. "Trakm8 is delighted to report that June 2014 saw two firsts for the company. June represented the largest month in the Trakm8's 12 year history for the number of new unit installations to report directly back to Trakm8 servers, which meets the objective of substantially increasing recurring revenues is being achieved month on month. Secondly, June saw the first time over 1000 units were manufactured in a single day. Trakm8 Group have invested heavily over the last 12 months in expanding their in-house manufacturing capabilities, and reaching this new target has demonstrated that they are investing in the right areas of the business. Trakm8 Chairman John Watkins comments on the achievements: "It is terrific that our hard work in building our client marketing activities is paying off in terms of new solution sales. We have invested heavily in additional manufacturing capacity, and it is already proving itself to have been money well spent." Michael. | michaelmouse
07/7/2014 23:02 | Thank you Michael, I always enjoy reading your blog | hydrus
07/7/2014 20:44 | Thanks PJ. Looks like they might pay £5-6m for the company so whilst its significant its nothing like the reverse takeover situation for BOX so although could be a gamble maybe not a massive one. Assume TRAK have identified some real opportunities across the different product/service lines. | hydrus
07/7/2014 20:06 | A few thoughts that may be of interest | hastings
07/7/2014 19:32 | BVM is interesting. I lost out couple, of years ago with what (at the time) were great products but lack lustre Management and Sales skills. Time has moved on so unsure how or if they are still Market leaders in Tracking (freight for example and Airline payments) IMO slight gamble, would think BVM shareholders are more encouraged than TRAK.. Whatever happens TRAK need to abandon the previous BVM Management... | pj 1
07/7/2014 19:27 | Interesting potential bid news. The target seems to have won a couple of sizeable contracts recently. | hydrus
07/7/2014 10:41 | It's about UKOG now with Hrose Hill spud due, bargain price :)If you're banking profits - get in there folks | fatboyd
07/7/2014 08:15 | Results have met my expectations rather than exceeded them. Happy to hold at quarter the current price. | gwr7
07/7/2014 08:11 | Great results and more importantly a very exciting sounding future | hydrus
16/6/2014 08:09 | Vodafone today announced an acquisition of a telematics firm, not saying Trak will be next as seems to be a different type of company but it just adds some more credibility to the telematics 'story'. | hydrus
10/6/2014 17:19 | ......fair enough. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's what makes a market after all. | brahmsnliszt
10/6/2014 12:57 | well...it is well above broker price of 55 pence...so I think it will go back into 50s' IMHO | harrison15
09/6/2014 10:57 | Starting to look cheap again at these lvls. Took in some here. | brahmsnliszt
03/6/2014 17:35 | Just in case any investors holding trak are feeling a little down following the recent drop (although still well up in the last year) heres a highlight from the recent trading update. "Like for like orders (not including the BOX business) received during the period were 46% higher than the previous year" Nice.. CM. | cheshiremoggie
30/5/2014 15:18 | Slipping back now...down to 72pence....I think it will go to 60 pence in next 2 weeks if not sooner....they were high at 55 pence, imho. | harrison15
22/5/2014 13:30 | Thanks all | cacs40
22/5/2014 12:51 | Will add the above that it could also be a little tree shake the price seems to be recovering nicely for all who held. | werty5
22/5/2014 12:47 | Agree with CM see no real problem with the share long term. I Cashed in today because of the rate the share had climbed and the speed it had done it in, it was always going to have a correction. Now will look again for new entry point and see if TRAK rises at a more sensible and sustainable level. I was not and will not be a big investor in TRAK as I have a problem trusting AIM shares too much. | werty5
22/5/2014 12:25 | cacs40, As far as we know the drop today was caused by the rise from 35-90p. CM. | cheshiremoggie
22/5/2014 12:23 | Yes, I have no problem at all with any investment strategy or when you decide to buy or sell. If you sold over 85p it certainly looks like a very good move at the moment. I have to agree that the rise to 90p was a big move and no price can keep going up indefinitely. You could have said that at 60, 70 or 80p though. Enjoy your profits - maybe you should go and get brahmsnliszt? CM. | cheshiremoggie
22/5/2014 11:24 | Yes CM, but we are all here to make a profit and if you're an investor for the long term then fine. Similarly if I thought it looked cheap at 50p but not so at 90p, that is fine also. I hope it carries on going up for you, but there is nothing wrong in taking profit. No one ever went bankrupt doing that. | brahmsnliszt
22/5/2014 11:10 | Any ideas what has caused the sudden drop today? | cacs40 |
