The problem with the gamblers (incl. those on the other thread), is they will not give up on TOM (no matter how bad it gets) until the Directors give up on it and shut it down.

Meanwhile the directors have no reason to give up on TOM until those gamblers that pay the cash calls give up on them.

Call it symbiosis.

One further possibility. Again, just a guess. But given Valkor’s previous interest (and success) in using Tom as a financing vehicle, I don’t discount the possibility of them trying to make that permanent. A debt for equity swap could give them control as a major shareholder. Maybe they won’t need that now that Vivakor is writing cheques. But it was that ploy which gave Valkor a big position in PQE (and a theoretical big payday). And Valkor's website seems to show loads of new tech that they are hoping to sell next. So they might try that formula again with Tom. That would then give Tom shareholders on the other thread lots more opportunities to throw good money after bad and watch Valkor continue to use their funds to build chalets on the slopes in Park City, Valkor’s new HQ. At least someone is doing well out of this. On the bright side, it would give us a lot more to moan and carry-on about.

So where is there value in Tom? With no business, and no real prospects, the most valuable asset is probably the AIM listing. AIM shells used to go for £2-3 million, but those days might be gone. And there might be a market for some of the RF equipment. Oh, yes, and Tom owns 10% of a hill of sand in Vernal, for which it paid significantly above the market. So mark that one down too. And sadly, Tom’s liabilities are adding up (28%???), meaning that the value is declining further and further every day. Rescuer may be right in calling this as another AIM company going to the wall. And Lopo’s long term concern about the auditors calling it a day might start to get real. Though, of course, a cash call can always be made. But what dream will they be selling next?

Maybe cash from PQE’s buyout will save the day? (Because it’s so likely that those investors who finally get money out will be ready to roll it over into another lost cause?) Or is the PQE buyout just another ruse in that company’s long list of tricks? Only a guess, but given what PQE has got up to in the past, it won’t surprise me if the TSX finds ways to further delay trading resumption until after the next ‘final’ date of the PQE offer. Why? I don’t know the statute of limitations on being an insider on the TSX, but since founder and former CEO Blumsky has been off the board for more than 6 months, would he be allowed to sell his stake when trading resumes? If so, then the potential for shareholders being gamed and the offer disappearing (after Blumsky sells) starts to make some sense out of all the machinations and delays that have gone heretofore. Just guessing.

Will oil sands ever happen? It is interesting to note that Valkor’s all new website gives only short shrift to producing oil sands, instead focusing on oil sand remediation (Vivakor’s gig – does Valkor have a new ‘best buddy’? One that just happens to have raised finance recently and so is capable of writing cheques for services from Valkor? Oh, ye fair weather friend! Say it isn’t so!). And Valkor’s Heavy Sweet Oil first production date (late 3Q) seems likely to slip. They don’t seem to have a lot of other income producing activities at the moment, so one can assume they are on the hunt for another victim.

I agree, Fenners (and Rescuer). Value is out of whack. As frustrating as it is to sit and wait, the time provides opportunity to weigh up whether there is any real value in this company. The big funding will never happen – this was obvious from the start to anyone familiar with the industry, but of course JP doesn’t know the industry and allowed himself to be led by the nose by Valkor, who have had their own vested interests in dragging this out. A weak board only exacerbated the situation, with the only one member potentially understanding the financing situation (ZP) also in a potentially conflicted position which has allowed him to benefit by further extending this hunt for a left-handed screwdriver.

The only price that matters now is the price you sell at. Today's price is irrelevant.

are folk still buying this dog...

there are so many AIM listed companies that are teetering on the brink - some of the fees and coupon payments are ridiculous - many take out mezzanine finance (fools).. with 7 - 10% drawdown fees and 12.5 - 15% coupon payments -

a lot of these dogs will go to the wall this year and early next year.

AIM needs new regulation -

hope you are all well

Hi Vauch .. If funding had been sorted we would have been told. So clearly it has not. Take a chill pill and wait like the rest of us. Yes I know it's very frustrating. DF

Correction - the value they want to pay for the land (not paid more than the deposit yet as they have no cash) is substantially more than the property next door.

Notice the absence of rmart ramping these last few weeks...

It seems the patsy's that bought shares at recent highs , do not understand their role.

I hvae just glanced at a few daft comments on the other board.

Perhaps understanding finance is easier if you start with something simple.

Let us take the example of a mortgage. It is quite simple. You raise the mortgage on a function of your income and the asset value providing security.

If we apply that to TOM, they have no income so that puts them in a more difficult category. Secondly the asset only has value if it is generating income. Thirdly $200m is a big investment and at the moment the operations will be dependent on one person. Fourthly the quality of the FEED has not been disclosed but we know that continuous recovery is problematic. Fifthly the asset value of the land seems to be substantially more than similar local properties.

Agreed vauch but by mentioning it, it therefore becomes in the public domain. Either way I would have liked it to be RNS news and it certainly deserves to be. Keeping shareholders fully informed needs to be a central issue moving forward, which is why I am hoping that Valkor steps up to the plate. They have 29% on Tomco moving forward if all goes well so it is in their interests to sort out the PR issues once and for all ;)

Ah but it was mentioned that it was expected within 2 weeks not he had it or their was now a delay.
It is always smoke and mirrors and it is about time this behaviour stopped.

But the terms sheet info was put in the public domain by JP as you correctly state, hence it does not need an RNS.

There is of course another possibility, that is that Tomco are in the process of undertaking sensitive negotiations and hence, will update the market when appropriate to do so.

Certainly agree with you regarding the lack of shareholder liaison vauch, which desperately needs improving. I hope that once the deal is fully completed, Valkor and Tomco have a dedicated PR person to keep shareholders and the market fully informed using social media to its full potential (at least we know they know how to tweet ;))

As Shareholders we can group together and call an EGM could those that have contact with the BOD's pass this on as it is the shareholders that have a strong belief in the
company assets but will no longer except being ignored, I know of five holders emailing the company now and not even receiving a reply.

Ducky fuzz,
I wish I shared your optimism

This has dragged on too long now, if another week passes by with no progress will the share price continue to decline?
