Hello danmart .. I think the whole deal is still on, Because I think there are a number of financial alternatives.

Clearly the owning of the TSH2 land is very important. We currently own 10% of it
and have until December 31st to pay for the balance. About £12 Mill I think.
So if nothing else TOMco would want finance for this amount. Valkor and Vivakor
also want TOMco to buy it. It makes financial sense to buy the 90% balance on its own if nothing else.

So option 1 .. we need £12 Mill. Clearly easier than getting $145 Mill.

================

Option 2 would see us borrowing the £12 Mill and sufficient to drill the 3 x CO2 production wells and however many more we could get finance for.

================

Option 3 .. Is to get the $145 Mill [subject to inflation costs] for the whole package. Of course the oil sands separation part could be mothballed for a few years time if and when finance becomes available.

================

So I think it is still game on, if not we would have heard about an additional way forward for TOMco.

My brain now hurts so I am going to open a brew. DF

Is the deal off?

The delay and silence can’t be a good thing or can it?

We know this is going to be strung out for at least 2 years , that is the time that the "refiner" has to decide not to bother in

News will one day be plentiful but not what investors have been led on to expect.
The question is how long should investors wait?

Oil Is Here To Stay, But We Can Reduce Its Emissions

By Felicity Bradstock - May 08, 2022, 2:00 PM CDT
If the recent energy crisis has taught us anything, it is that the world is not ready to give up fossil fuels, a fact that has made the low-carbon crude more important than ever.
In order to reduce the emissions associated with oil production, companies are increasingly abandoning old projects and focusing on new discoveries.
As well as turning to newer production to reduce emissions, oil companies are electrifying elements of production and investing in carbon capture and storage

Nothing has changed ergo it is highly unlikely that there will be any news on financing this week, or this month.

I dont think we can be called inpatient after all this time and most are aware that it is complex, but we dont need any more talk from MD saying it is within a couple off weeks, then a few months have passed,

Really! Don't understand why it's taking this long?! Do you have any appreciation how long it takes to obtain just a relatively straightforward permit, licence or finance deal in this country? Its not going to be that different in the US. This deal is complex, large, interconnected, in an ever changing financial backdrop. It will take as long as it takes, but it will happen in my view. Now if Stuart is correct and John's on his way back from the US where he has been for some considerable time then we may get an update soon. If not, we will have to be patient for a little longer

Well many believe this impossibly impossible and the Board must know this but cannot capitulate for now. For one thing they have managed to sell the plan to BDO - how ?? and must stick with it.
However ZP MUST BE CONSIDERING HIS REPUTATION and let’s see how long he can hold the party line. Better he leaves due to work pressure elsewhere and collects a bounty rather than faces inevitable criticism.

"Because it takes a long time to count $145,000,000 .. especially if you lose count half way through."

Keep up Ducky the $145m was the view on here whilst the dreamers were saying $110m or so

The TOM presentation says in black and white they need $175m so give them some leeway its harder than you think !

Of course we now know that with rampant inflation the numbers (like all engineering projects even without inflation) will be much higher.
So try $200m

It was never going to be paid back through funds from trading on time (TOM does not have a business). The only way would be yet another dilution.
So that means 28% pa on the principal + the fees rolled up.
About $35k a month if memory serves.
That together with directors' rem and travel expenses, legal exp etc, should bleed TOM dry before too long.
What then ?

F66, it is not going to be this week, next week, next month or next year. The concept of a one man band borrowing $200m to execute a major project is incredible, and incredible means precisely that.

If I remember May was the 'bewitching hour' for the Valkor loan.
