23/2/2015 08:00 | LONDON--Bovis Homes Group PLC (BVS.LN) Monday posted a 69% higher full-year pretax profit and reported "robust trading" in 2015 so far. Profit before tax rose to GBP133.5 million from GBP78.8 million as sales climbed 46% to GBP809.4 million, driven by a 29% increase in completed sales to 3,635 at an average selling price 11% higher at GBP216,600. "The strong sales position brought forward from 2014 combined with robust trading in the first seven weeks of 2015 has positioned the group well for 2015," the company said. "With the expectation of further growth in active sales outlets during 2015 driven by the land acquisitions achieved in 2014, the group is confident that it can deliver its expected legal completion growth in 2015," it added. | ![]() cockneyrebel
23/2/2015 07:50 | Agree. A 69% rise in profits by BVS is very impressive and should have a positive impact on builders this week. Expect to see a healthy rise this week with TW. I think £2.00 may come up quicker than most think. | ![]() joemillion
23/2/2015 07:14 | Fab results at BVS today and am expecting the same here next week. I really see this passing 160p by next week and 200p plus by year end. | ![]() aspers
20/2/2015 21:10 | That's what happens when you try to call a change in trend instead of waiting for the trend to change and giving up a little potential profit. Let the trend be your friend. gl | battue2

20/2/2015 17:50 | I expect to see 160 on results day, I also expect BVS to hit £10 on Mondays news. An interesting news article on BBC news last night about the housing shortage in the country.......I've given up trying to trade this as every time I sell it continues to rise. I'm now fully invested again and look forward to seeing 200p in the not too distant future. House builders will continue to report booming profits for a year or so yet! Good luck to all that hold.....and that's the important word here......HOLD. | ![]() aspers
20/2/2015 17:41 | Eastbourne, like you I expected a pullback and made a school boy error by selling out at 139.80 (I have no position here at present). With the results looming 150 plus has to be only days away now. I doubt if we will see 140 again anytime soon and if I was you I would consider closing your short pretty rapidly! | ![]() joemillion

18/2/2015 09:13 | Good trading update from GFRD today: "Linden Homes' sales rate has increased since 1 January 2015. Housing market conditions remain good and we are optimistic about the prospects for a number of recent and forthcoming sales outlets. 18/2/2015 08:43 | The DOW will be looking for an excuse to fall at least 200-300 points in the near future which will lead to an inevitable drop in the FTSE, imo we could do with that event happening now rather than around the beginning of March! | ![]() gbh2
