Drop on the Putin news is all. Most stocks that have had a good run in my portfolio of late had 3% took out of them today. One persons panic sell is another's top up opportunity.

Why the big drop, I was expecting an upward trend here! I understand the wider market activity today, but still looks to have dropped off more that expected! Anyone think this will fall further?

Looks like the decision may be made on which company loses the least in what's likely to be falling market conditions.

Completely agree that a lot can happen before Wednesday, but people seem to be just focusing on the automatic moves above 90 and below 110. Other moves may, or may not happen, on the discretion of the LSE. I don't think it's as clear cut as is being made out. The bottom line is; nobody knows, but we've still got be in with a chance.

So what? Unless they fall below 110th position, like TATE has done, they will not automatically fall out of the FTSE100. However BDEV (at 89th) moving in looks like AMEC will be displaced. A lot can happen before Wednesday.

The trouble about your estimate is that all the other shares may participate in a market rise. There are 4 or 5 shares ahead of TW. in the list which might get there first.

I don't think TW will make the FTSE100 this time but I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it there next time around, as I believe there's a lot more positives to come out over the next few months and beyond

My understanding is as long as we have a market cap higher than the 90th place company on the 6th we will get a spot.

The trouble is that St James Place is certain to move into the FTSE100 and TATE looks certain to be demoted to the FTSE250. There don't seem to be any other automatic moves around the 100/250 boundary.

Mondi could catch up if they continue to rise after today's strong results. Going to be entirely dependent on movements early next week. At 1,096p, Mondi is valued at 4020m rather than the figure shown there

By my reckoning TW. will be promoted to the FTSE 100 next week so expect tracker funds to buy in. At 125p the TW. market Cap is £4,055M. Promotion will be decided based on the group's closing share prices on March 6. A company is eligible for promotion from the FTSE 250 index of medium-sized groups if it is valued more highly than the 90th biggest company in the FTSE.

Rexam is in 90th place with a market cap of £3.981M.
