IF I had the type of investment cash discussed this morning I wouldn't be wasting my time on a free bulletin board, I'd be somewhere warm enjoying the sights whilst my financial manager looked after my money :))

HBF Conference 25.3.14 Pickles will deliver keynote speech regards housing policy.

Now although I do not know the full content of the speech , it is widely expected by the industry key players that amongst other things Pickles will announce a blanket approval for all major current housing developments that are bogged down in red tape across the country. His speech may pave the way for immediate p.p. approval for over 3 million new homes, predominantly on lucrative green field sites.

Couple this with TW.s expected results and elevation in to the FTSE100 and yes, I think we can safely say tiz easy money to be had here.

NAI DYOR ;;-)

Well as I said in an earlier post regards a new initiative soon to be announced, keep an eye and an ear out for what Mr Pickles has to say in the upcoming conference. Tiz what I personally have been waiting for and after clarification today have trebled a somewhat very overweight position here. ;;-)

BDEV and TW. for me too. Plus I have small amounts of BWY and CRST.

BDEV has had the edge for a while now and maybe TW. will have a surge in 2014.

I really dont care as the most important thing is to be in housebuilders and not out of them. Can anybody tell me a better sector to be in than housebuilders right now?

I hold both Barratts and T.W.
Up to now ,Barratts has been the better of the two.
I am thinking T.W. just might be the better one of 2014, but, We shall see.

Obviously a dry month December, albeit the two weeks holidays had a severe impact on output..................not!

Easiest money in the market is to be had here I fancy ;;-)

Good reading: "Housebuilding boosts UK construction output" - Private sector housebuilding rose 5.1% in December and was up 21.6% from a year earlier.

I posted regarding the online edition on Wednesday. But they usually replicate online articles in the paper edition which is out today.

antonz, perhaps remind us all of the adverse affect the snow in two out of the last three years had on TWs operations. Whilst at it, perhaps elaborate on how many developments TW actually have in the West of the country.

Builders have an uncanny knack of playing catch up as and when needed, and no doubt the weather will give TW. a valid ticket to slow the pace of housebuilding whilst treading water forcing the governments hand on wider issues and planning policies.

Major regeneration and housebuilding on the scale soon to be announce is the true dairy and TWs value is hardly going to be affected going forward by a few slow weeks or indeed by a faceless blogger on a bb.
