Yup 110% and they're buying all the sng001 they can get their hands on.....some would think they're getting ready for a major event? I mean why would they spend £4 million just on sng001 if they was any doubt?

Anyone know what that maybe?

YAF, was on twitter earlier (now deleted) and there has been a few other leaks today...

One thing I note on the placing is the Directors are purchasing 214,000 shares. As these guys know far more than you and I their confidence must be viewed as a real positive.

The Government should be providing a grant here but as with testing they are behind the scientific curve.

Remember they started by relying on 'herd immunity' awaiting 60% of the population to become infected but you don't hear much about that one now. And that was from the Government's 'Chief Scientific Advisor'! He only had to take a look at China an Italy even at that point to see that that initial idea was foolish.

Likya123 Ordinarily the company would be a long way off trials to product their accelerated permissions are only given to meet the extreme need and recognises the real prospect of success. They are raising a very small amount to facilitate something that has immeasurable value. If you look at the normal cost of getting a drug through clinical trials to a marketable product it can be measured in 100,s x £1 million ( average circa £1 billion ) and take 6-10 years to gain acceptance of all clinical data. £14 million is nothing! There is tremendous goodwill move here that needs recognising and if successful as I have said previously no one will even talk about this fund raising. DYOR but next time you post read up before you do you are obviously not a scientist.

Honestly anyone with half a brain can see that FB post is fake news relating to an article from 18th March before the NHS trial started so stop being misleading

Southampton medical faculty website!!

Now on Twitter saying Synairgen inhaled drug successful in Southampton trials for covid-19 patients!!

Now I'm a little stupid so could anyone explain why you think Synairgen are spending millons buying this drug in massive quantity?

Haha

I tend to agree the price will go up. However, I will have to realign my pre trial target price to 80p. Still lots of upside though ahead of the trial result some time towards the end of May. That is the date to focus on not tomorrow or Friday!

And D1NGA your post made me laugh and I have to agree! I have given myself a proverbial yellow card...

Bought at around 65p so trading at 46p isn’t good news - have been busy all day, so was staggered to see the closing price.

Anyone got any good news about this?

Is there a whole load more sales waiting to be processed which will drive the value per share down again tomorrow? :(

Placing is not bad news it is very good news. The fact that the company has been permitted to move ahead to Patient Trials as it has is excellent News. As the only company with the prospect of producing a inhalable cure it will need cash for the trials data interpretation and if successful production scale up, that said if there is a positive outcome to the trials then the cost of hospital beds is irrelevant Government or big pharma would fund large scale production for global use...Put a finger in the air as to the value of the share then but it will be substantially higher than today and nobody will care at all about the price of the placing. DYOR as always but this can only be a BUY

For a clue to pricing it is good to look at Gilead's potential antiviral just given orphan status

Although a figure is not given it looks likely to be considerably higher than £1,000 per treatment.

I was very fortunate today, as the share price had been very volatile I decided to sell at 54 and whilst waiting for an expected drop the placing was announced and I bought back in at 42. About time I had some luck after being in the oil sector for the last six months! Looking forward to the journey ahead, not just to make money as I hope this will save many lives. Fingers crossed.

I read somewhere 35k per hospitalised case. But not sure of accuracy
