Yes Richard Marsden states before each dose they take samples and they could see before the second dose the drug was being effective on previous trials.

This trial is a blind trial with doctors not knowing whether they are administering active or Placibo.....if patients are showing remarkably recovery....is it not unethical to continue with Placibo? Surely in the interest of the public health the active should be administering to all patients?

Babbler - the post from which the text is quoted is timed at 9:41 on 24th - so this can only be 24 hours after the first patient(s) was dosed - in the proactive interview SNG state results can be seen after a couple of doses.
Great trading op for the flippers, and it shows what may happen if positive results are confirmed at some point in the future

To be fair he didn't mention the manufacturer's name just that it was effective so good news. Given where it is, Southampton, the safe assumption is it's SNG.

And it could be that he's talking about the original trial not the covid one so I would take all this with a pinch of salt.
