25/3/2020 18:23 | Likya123 Ordinarily the company would be a long way off trials to product their accelerated permissions are only given to meet the extreme need and recognises the real prospect of success. They are raising a very small amount to facilitate something that has immeasurable value. If you look at the normal cost of getting a drug through clinical trials to a marketable product it can be measured in 100,s x £1 million ( average circa £1 billion ) and take 6-10 years to gain acceptance of all clinical data. £14 million is nothing! There is tremendous goodwill move here that needs recognising and if successful as I have said previously no one will even talk about this fund raising. DYOR but next time you post read up before you do you are obviously not a scientist. | ant15
25/3/2020 18:17 | Bounty, it's probably on the tern thread! | arab3
25/3/2020 18:14 | makendon did you make any on GFIN? | hazl
25/3/2020 18:10 | So where is the link for that one Likya???? I'm afraid you are doing more harm than good. | bountyhunter
25/3/2020 18:09 | Honestly anyone with half a brain can see that FB post is fake news relating to an article from 18th March before the NHS trial started so stop being misleading | saw89
25/3/2020 18:07 | Southampton medical faculty website!! Now on Twitter saying Synairgen inhaled drug successful in Southampton trials for covid-19 patients!! Now I'm a little stupid so could anyone explain why you think Synairgen are spending millons buying this drug in massive quantity? Haha | likya123
25/3/2020 17:59 | I tend to agree the price will go up. However, I will have to realign my pre trial target price to 80p. Still lots of upside though ahead of the trial result some time towards the end of May. That is the date to focus on not tomorrow or Friday! And D1NGA your post made me laugh and I have to agree! I have given myself a proverbial yellow card... | nobbygnome
25/3/2020 17:47 | no the news is good. Price will continue to go up | inv
25/3/2020 17:42 | Bought at around 65p so trading at 46p isn’t good news - have been busy all day, so was staggered to see the closing price. Anyone got any good news about this? Is there a whole load more sales waiting to be processed which will drive the value per share down again tomorrow? :( | makendon
25/3/2020 17:28 | Nobby anymore of your ramping and you're going to have to ban yourself. | d1nga
25/3/2020 17:23 | Placing is not bad news it is very good news. The fact that the company has been permitted to move ahead to Patient Trials as it has is excellent News. As the only company with the prospect of producing a inhalable cure it will need cash for the trials data interpretation and if successful production scale up, that said if there is a positive outcome to the trials then the cost of hospital beds is irrelevant Government or big pharma would fund large scale production for global use...Put a finger in the air as to the value of the share then but it will be substantially higher than today and nobody will care at all about the price of the placing. DYOR as always but this can only be a BUY | ant15
25/3/2020 17:23 | For a clue to pricing it is good to look at Gilead's potential antiviral just given orphan status Although a figure is not given it looks likely to be considerably higher than £1,000 per treatment. | pdt
25/3/2020 17:21 | I was very fortunate today, as the share price had been very volatile I decided to sell at 54 and whilst waiting for an expected drop the placing was announced and I bought back in at 42. About time I had some luck after being in the oil sector for the last six months! Looking forward to the journey ahead, not just to make money as I hope this will save many lives. Fingers crossed. | lunus1
25/3/2020 17:20 | I read somewhere 35k per hospitalised case. But not sure of accuracy | asdb9
25/3/2020 17:18 | Anyone who is under any illusion that a two week course of SNG001 would be selling for pennies (rather than hundreds or thousands of pounds) they need to check out the link below for the prices paid by the NHS for GENERIC interferon beta - SC injection to treat MS: | timbo003
25/3/2020 17:16 | In US it's graded with c$10k per day for 1st 3 days and then c$4k after that. So c£40k a week in US & £14k in UK. This is for full blown ICU with ventilation etc | blueblood
25/3/2020 17:05 | Thanks guys | briannewby
25/3/2020 17:04 | If the drug can reduce / negate the requirement for a stay in an ICU, I wondered what the cost implications were. I've found figures of 4k for the US, and 1.5k for the UK per day, but these are several years old. | briannewby
25/3/2020 17:04 | Brian In 2017, each bed used by a patient cost the NHS £400 a night. Sure to have increased since then. Over a two week period, that would be roughly £6k. This is without additional costs, oxygen supply, ventilator, etc. So, if a course of SNG001 costs in the region of £1k, as Nobby suggests, it would be a huge cost saving. Edit: Just read Blueblood's post, so even greater saving. | jev1
25/3/2020 17:02 | ICU beds are c£2k per day per bed | blueblood
25/3/2020 16:56 | Its basically a tie in isnt it when you think about it. | tidy 2
25/3/2020 16:55 | Ventilation stage is last rights stage but you want to know how much it costs for a bed? | tidy 2 |
