If they were more certain, they would have raised more at a higher price!

Well gives me the excuse to get more if it goes any lower and as people above suggest....perhaps we wont get the opportunity!

Good, they can now negotiate from a position of strength. The Placing was widely expected and I wonder if that was to a certain extent a drag on the price, nobody likes uncertainty.

However, the news of the day was posted earlier by Timbo ...

Thanks for the information Tim! Overall it's good news but more shares and a lower price than I would ideally like. But it is true that they now retain 100% of the asset which shows confidence.

lets hope the trials a success

To be honest it was 20p a share on 17th March so to get 35p (nearly a 100% premium) is actually very impressive indeed

Saw, wait unitl the positive news of the the covid-19 starts to filter through.

Why prepare the drug in massive volume if they're unsure?
Because that's exactly what they're doing!

Synairgen know they've a blockbuster drug and this £14 million is the the biggest hint yet!

"To manufacture the drug and other supply chain considerations"
They think this is a runner and are getting prepared.

Pulling of a placing of that size and at that price in current market conditions was very good indeed. Price will be moving up again by close of play today!! IMHO

The more I think about this the better I feel. After the initial shock, to raise so much in this climate is impressive considering it was mid thirties last week

Nothing available for the PI - according to my broker - it's targetted to VCT and EIS funds who will pass on the tax relief, but at the rate they will allocate to subscribers, it's not worth it.

>>>>dave, I have no desire to spend time at Her Majesty's pleasure and I have been in Synairgen for 5+ years, so there was no way I was ever going to sell any.

I think the BOD have done a good job to raise so much at a pretty good price. The fund raise was first muted on the day of the Covid trial announcement (March 18th) and the share price closed at around 25p/share that day, so as you can imagine the initial price discussions were likely to be somewhat less then the 35p/share announced today.

Mirroring what happened at Novacyt.

The nost positive placing I've ever seen.
Synairgen know they have a blockbuster drug and they own 100% of it!

£14 millon to fight off low bids is fantasic!!

Those waiting for 35p will have to pay 45p (if they're quick) and trust me, that will be an absolute bargain in a few weeks!

I was made inside on this a couple of days ago, they are raising quite a bit more than originally planned (and at a higher price than originally muted)

If you use a proper broker you should be able to participate on this fund raise (just give them a ring), you will probably get 30% EIS tax relief too (assuming you don't already own shares outside of a SIPP/ISA)

35 is good for Instis which can buy at 35 and anyone who bought below 35 - for the PIs who have bought at 45+ it's not so good -

for the few not the many.
