I don't know why some of you guys think the management are great. I've been in and out over the years and lost money every time, there's always a good story, but it never happens. My last purchase was at 66.5p. We're now at 33p, can you explain how that's good management?

Totally agree Goldman-I have similar experience to you and frankly the hard part is the bit a lot of investors take for granted ie making the product to spec, on time, on budget

I am sure that they will have done their homework already, both having left good jobs to take up posts at ST. I hope that the post of COO becomes a board status post soon.

Hopefully a new era dawns with the advent of the new COO and CFO. As someone on here wrote earlier - new COO looking under the bonnet? , new CFO running a slide rule over the numbers? Fingers crossed nothing surprising in a bad way to find. Fils.

I couldn’t agree more amt, this management team have made so much progress over the last few years. Their transforming the business from a small company doing R&D to a full scale production company, that’s no mean feat at all. Personally I believe the management team deserve a pat on the back and some thanks and appreciation for what they have achieved so far rather than criticism. I’ve worked in manufacturing and I’m well aware that when setting up new plants there’s almost always teething problems and ironing the issues out is how you perfect the system, there’s absolutely nothing unusual about the issues that ST have exsperienced.

Quemaster absolutely agree ...lots of Ifs. The previous high regard for the management team has certainly taken a knock with the manufacturing issues and how they have communicated with investors. As with all small cap companies, management stretch is an issue, and we've seen it here too. Let's hope the arrival of a proper COO and an experienced CFO will finally enable this company to get its ducks firmly in a row. mean time, Bundred & Johnson cannot afford to slip up yet again because patience is wearing somewhat thin. Sp has derated despite the contract flow (not a unusual situation I grant you in small cap universe)and with the market focus firmly on cashfow, profits, & earnings, non-profitable development stage businesses have their work cut out. I remain a big fan of the company but have concerns about management's ability to deliver sustained profitable growth given the problems we've seen.

The results are on the 27th September. If the furnace linings are still working it will be six months plus of service, if the expansion program is going to plan we should be at or close to £4m per month capacity, if we are catching up on sales the forecasts should be achieved or beaten. A few ifs in there but I would be surprised if the results and update turn out to be negative.

Fillspectre - I agree and was only having a bit of fun. I hadn't looked at the share price since the last round of events until this morning.

I'm hoping that once the two months passes from the directors buys we are in the territory for some good news, as noted by the board.

Onwards and upwards.

The trade didn't move the best bid or offer prices available, we still have six market makers at 35p bid and one at 37p offer.

The only MM to change it's price today was ZEUZ, they did this at 14:51 the same time as the large trade but they are off the best prices at 33p on the bid and 38p offer so they don't look like a MM that has just been involved in a big trade .

I suspect it will be the movement of shares from one account to another and we may well see a delayed trade or trades that will equal the 1,200,000 volume.

Quite a few new career vacancies posted up on the ST careers page. Nine more working days now before the new CFO and COO turn up for work. Fils

Well - it looks like a retest of the 200 day moving average and if it holds that would be positive.

Amt, it was pretty positive. Kevin reiterated all the messages over recent weeks. Production going well, expansion of capacity going well, and hope to announce further new contracts this year.

What is not to like ?

The market as a whole has been pretty awful the last couple of weeks and the FTSE is down almost 10%. Not surprising that a bit of a sell off. There may have been a few clever people who bought in the low 30s, and were happy to take a turn ( a very good turn) at 37p or 36p. I am not sure anything has happened at all for long term holders, bar continuing drip drip of good news.
