That's my thoughts. Their margin may get squeezed, but it's costs are far more favourable than its competitors and it currently has extremely good quality metrics with ROC of 51%, ROE of 64% and an operating margin of 12%. As the cost of living squeeze increases more custom will surely be won from competitors in the more premium segments. I'm really surprised to have seen this drop given the macro economic environment even considering the rotation from small caps. I want to top but may wait a couple of weeks yet.

with a cost of living squeeze I'm confident SUP will do well - as I've said before their £1 vape is just as good as my old £5 vape - haven't tried the vitamins yet

Just looking at the brief history of SUP as stock and it rather seems as if their style of Trading Updates will be based on H1 & H2 i.e.no intermediate Q1 or Q3 TU.

Presumably some investors cautious about margins with inflation. However I'm fairly relaxed about it as they were navigating it successfully at the last update and they are clever operators.

Sphere25, Having monies to buy on weakness here seems a sensible approach at the moment.I have made several transactions in the last week or so, buying on dips and significantly bolstering the proportion I have invested in commodities.IMO, commodities can provide an hedge in inflation periods whilst offering decent dividend income also.Good luck with your investments!

Tonytyke2,

It isn't great. Having to trade off their index moves not knowing what is going to happen in the last hour isn't likely to provide returns but they have bought up two big sell downs and abit of a bounce today too so some bullish action.

Clearly it could get very volatile or it could settle down if they keep buying that weakness, don't know but had a nibble here too.

Just going to nibble into weakness if something gets clobbered down too much like SUP.

All imo

Sphere, I agree with you regarding the the US.

The only thing our indices want to do is try to follow the US. So when they have a bad day, we have to have a bad also. Although our share make up and valuations (much lower), are so different. IMO we don't seem capable of leading our own way.

The performance of the FTSE over many years is so poor compared to the US indices. Some would say it's because the US tech giants have propelled them. Well we don't have any those, so cannot compete in that performance arena, but when they do have a wider tech sell off after a 'bubble' created, then the UK seem to get battered also including non tech stocks.

Apologies, rant finished, feel better now (:-)

Indiscriminate selling out there.

The FED encourages highly exuberant irrational behaviour in bidding up loss making/no revenue/minimal revenue shares to ridiculous multiples. The FED encourages folk to bid up worthless crypto currencies.

The FED tightens - look what happens.

It is carnage out there in the speculative arena. Every time you look at Bitcoin it has fallen another $1000. Unfortunately, we now have to pay the price (at least in the short term) for their excesses. It bugs me this. We simply cannot be independent and focus on our valuations, which are far more sensible.

They have been behaving like spoilt brats in the US. They clearly have to find some stabilisation or we are all getting clobbered even more.

Wonder if someone out there is in trouble like Archegos. If you're in ARK and Crypto and exposed to all the higher risk plays, surely you're praying they find a bottom soon. Clearly a technical bounce will be due, but will it get sold again?

Those exuberant US folk look like causing our FTSE250 to breach support and fall over.

And this is why we have to keep one eye on them.

Hate it!

Yuk!

All imo

Illiquid sticks suffer more when there is a market sell off, so in my view that is what has happened here. Nothing has changed with the business or the outlook, a great opportunity to buy in
