You have a point, unless he has ambitions to acquire and requires a couple of raises

ABF is family owned c.55%, ditto shoezone is around 50% owned by the Smith brothers. Don't think it's too unusual for small caps to have a high inside ownership. Indeed ABF is a large cap.

https://www.retailgazette.co.uk/blog/2022/07/poundland-owner-pepco-sees-revenues-rise-as-shoppers-flock-to-discounters/Pepco Group, the owner of Poundland and Dealz has posted a 17.1% rise in third-quarter revenue as cash-strapped Brits fuelled demand at its discount stores as the cost-of-living crisis continues. The discounters doing well should give us confidence over the coming storms in retail for 2023.

I agree he is an intelligent iconoclast fanatic if there ever was one, using Ian Cassell language. This will almost certainly be a multi-bagger from this level 5 or 10 years from now. I would guess on it being a 10 bagger over that timeframe.

So Sandy bought the 500k print yesterday. Note also that recent acquirer, Moneta Asset Man increased their position by nearly 1 percent of the company Friday and no doubt accounted for that days strong move. Canaccord dropped their holding from 5.89 percent to 4.85 percent which was reported on Friday, executed on the Thursday which could well be due to redemptions in their Special Sits and UK micro cap funds. I believe there is still another seller around but the demand/ supply balance seems to be equalising.
This director purchase does reassure me as mentioned earlier it's not inconsequential. It would be nice though for some of the other directors to step up as well to show support.

Big delayed prints put through after market today, 807,896 and 250k at 77p and 525k at 72.25p. I'm convinced it's the same sellers that have been around since April.

RE #574. Thanks for your concern but you don't have to worry. This is not a major holding for me and I'm averaged in here at just over 100p. About 27% down at the moment but comfortable to hold since this has a strong balance sheet, growing vaping sales and has been very oversold and will recover.
