We haven’t had a brown noser quite like AJ before .
Underneath the brown nosing is a bitter investor and is one of the original 370 boohoo gang .

Aj , are you Guru ? A Millstone creation ?

20p bid = £20m is a very reasonable price to pay for such a recognisable brand..
This is such a great opportunity for new investors to buy in..

What a great opportunity for new investors to buy in at this wonderful bargain price.
company has enough funds to see out until year end 2024.
cost reduction plan moving along nicely, which will reduce cash burn compared to last year.
Share price should move up slightly from here.
Fraser Group lurking in the background.
superdry has been one of the big names on the high streets in UK.
I sense Mike Ashley really want this Brand , and fit perfectly into his Frazer Group empire business.

news is out stating Fraser group lurking in the background.
Headline - Hope for the best or will be swollowed up by Frazer.
current Mcap of £10m Mcap is absurd.

Mike Ashley can bid £20m and take over Superdry and it's £135m loan.
Frazer will pay of the loan and superdry will pay the loan and interest back to Frazer group.
plus Mike Ashley can sell , superdry rights in Asia, North America.

what great opportunity for FRASER GROUP to make a move now...

It's hard not to dismiss a company that was once £20 a share and is now struggling to get beyond 10p

It's very easy to say these things but without any industry knowledge it is hard to know for sure. They sold the rights to the brand in Asia for quite a big sum so it must have some value there. The turnover is still very large so to dismiss the brand completely is wrong IMHO.

Hilco and Banty have a charge on everything and I very much doubt they'll have lent more than they can get for the stock in a fire sale.

The real problem seems to be the expensive leases but that can be fixed with a pre-pack.

Reliance Retail should stand up and make a bid. It would be in their own interests to do so, and they can EASILY AFFORD IT.hTTps://m.economictimes.com/markets/stocks/news/at-100-billion-plus-valuation-reliance-retail-bigger-than-fmcg-giants-itc-hul/articleshow/101637205.cmsThey already bought the South Asia assetshTTps://www.indiaretailing.com/2023/10/04/uks-superdry-to-sell-south-asia-ip-assets-to-reliance-for-40-mn-pounds/And this new store looks amazinghTTps://www.indiaretailing.com/2024/04/01/reliance-brands-opens-superdry-store-in-bengaluru/Why risk all that with Superdry having financial issues? Just buy Superdry, sort out the financial issues, and they then have a great asset and protection of their own South Asian Superdry assets.

I'm a bear and have been heavily short. I've covered some around 9p but will probably reshort on a daft bounce which will no doubt happen on some daft rumour or other.

I'd just like to help the bulls out a bit though because I'm nice like that.

Although it is true SDRY was loosing 1.5m/week in the first half it is not uncommon for fashion retailers to loose money in H1. They make most of their profits in H2 in the run up to Christmas.

I think by far the most likely outcome here is admin to help with the pre-pack rent problem but there is a tiny chance of a recap at maybe 5p which folks could take part in. Either way the rational thing to do here is sell and buy in the recap if you want to take a punt and don't mind holdings non-listed shares.

I'd say there was almost no chance of a competing bid. If Dunkerton can't make it work then nobody else can as he has a huge informational advantage.

The balance sheet is under control. Businesses require working capital financing and the cfo said everything was running smoothly, no distress. Leases form.a large part of thr debt, due to IFRS treatment of leases
