01/5/2024 09:02 | Another small cap hoovered up on the cheap. Trinity Exploration got an offer from Touchstone. Trinity gone at GBP20m, 3 years ago it was 5x that valuation. If a bidder came in for SDRY now, they would be getting a similar bargain even if they paid £100m for it. | haggismchaggis

27/4/2024 11:45 | There appear to be at least three possibilities:- 1) Open offer at 1p on the basis of about 7 new shares for every existing share held. Open offers aren't tradable and have no lapsed value - you pay up or accept massive dilution. It's underwritten by JD, which likely means he would end up buying a major chunk of the shares (how many shareholders would be willing to chuck more money at a company that's about to be delisted?). 2) A placing with JD at 5p. This "only" results in a 67% dilution but you're still holding shares destined to be delisted. 3) Landlords object to the restructuring plan, likely leading to administration and zero return for ordinary shareholders. Other than for a spivvy short-term trade or to close a short position, why is anyone buying? Is there still a faint hope of a surprise bid for the supposed brand value? | typo56
26/4/2024 12:58 | trendspotting, "If this goes ahead and it does feel like it will, expect a monster rise." Why? What exactly do you think will happen "If this goes ahead"? M&G are objecting to the Restructuring Plan (note that I've capitalised the "R" and the "P", because "Restructuring Plan" has a specific legal meaning in this context) because they don't think that it's fair to have a lower rent forced upon them. *IF* M&G are successful, and the judge backs them, then SDRY will be forced to keep the stores and continue to pay the high rents that they can't afford to pay. That's not a good result for shareholders! The inevitable conclusion of failing a Restructuring Plan would be a pre-pack administration, which is probably the "Relevant Alternative" that SDRY are including in the Restructuring Plan! 26/4/2024 12:30 | 2 hours ago on SkyNews If this goes ahead and it does feel like it will, expect a monster rise. Risky as always but whenever companies announce a restructuring plan after having their share price decimated the market usually reacts very strong and positive. GLA | trendspotting
