No chance of a blue finish unless someone slaps a buy order in the auction for around 250,000 at market!

Thanks Sam, I agree.
Little volume resulted in huge fluctuations.. MMs may like it down though.

Any idea about the result?

monkeys to fall.

The question is are you a monkey or an investor?

appears that everyone fears gustafsson is going to squander the money on some silly acquisition, bowthorpe/marconi style! after all, what track record does he have with acquisitions, in an industry of particularly poor reputation? hard to imagine a prudent acquisition... then theres the integration challenges and driving it all forward

22.12.05 :-1, (50) initiated 'hold' at Deutsche Bank with a price target of 52 pence, dealers said. In a note to clients, the broker said Spirent's disposal of its Network Products division will allow it to focus more on its core communications business. The communications' test and monitoring markets are poised to enjoy healthy growth in the next few years and Spirent is well-positioned to take advantage of the same via its exposure to key growth technologies and its relationship with leading equipment vendors and operators, it added. However, the challenge of efficiently investing its surplus cash poses significant near-term risks, in particular for further earnings dilution from acquisitions.

Sam - no one is doubting your loyalty, what we doubt is your sense in suggesting that you know something that others don't.

BTW most of us here have held or traded SPT for many years so have put our money where our mouths are through thick and thin ;-)

Let's hope that's not your back pocket then Sam! (sorry, couldn't resist that).

I do hold shares, if that's what you mean, and bought a few more earlier in the week.
