Let's hope that's not your back pocket then Sam! (sorry, couldn't resist that).

I do hold shares, if that's what you mean, and bought a few more earlier in the week.

Sam, the £50m is to be used to buy back shares, as I understand it, not as a special dividend or anything like that.

Much as I'd like to imagine those greedy MMs stockpiling shares ready for the explosion, they are more likely to be clearing thier books for the quiet Xmas period imho.

You have consistently implied there is something unknown that will make price surge - if that's it, I'm a little disappointed! Never mind, I still think these are worth holding, as I don't believe current share price reflects true value of co.

SAM - But the share price rose around 5p when that announcement was made. It's already built into the price and the broker forecasts.

In any case why are you so certain that today is going to see a 5p rise when the announcement was on 15th Dec.?

You will get share of 50million pound(Money back to share holders), over 5p per every share you hold, I haven't said that the company(Spirent)said it.
So you have to be a share holder in order to get that.

MM's would like to get your shares.....they do tree shakes so you sell cheap to them, soon SPT WILL SURGE. IMO
Please do some research and you shall find out that you don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.

I must say I'm a bit worried about you SAM. If you are right, then it implies you have some inside knowlege and the FSA might come after you. If you are wrong then people won't believe you any more!

PS - I do hope you are right ;-)

How is it, I wonder, that the Deutsche Bank rating (52p) warrants an AFX, whereas the JP Morgan (58p) and Lehman Bros. (59p) ratings didn't?

Is someone trying to depress the price, while they stock up? Certainly the L2 activity is looking that way. Perhaps I'm just cynical ;-)

It might not be gaining at a great rate but I'd be quite happy at 1p per day for the next 50 days.

I wonder if "fingersxxxd" is still about - he usually had a good grasp of what was happening (and is pretty good at charting as well)

enough stock changed hands yesterday to warrant a holding rns

still think spirent is a better bid target now than before the sell off

Yes, where is SAM with his 80p?

Since my experiences with JRVS I'm very suspicious of folk who claim (or at least don't deny) inside knowlege.

Dalesiders - "Ah, Oui! I remember eet well." (sung with French accent!).

I seem to remember Fid arranging to sell into the rising price, though, as opposed to Aviva who were stupid enough to dump into a falling price - lol!
