TDR still around for sure - just not a lot to make comment upon at the moment.

Maybe all will become apparent when we know if there have been suitors for Network Products.

if its only that much, pension deficit and paying back debt will take much of it. original talk was for £260m+

just looked at the numbers for the network products division in the half year accounts

looks like it makes about 20-22 million a year

would expect this to go for around 175-200 million any thoughts on what all that cash may be used for

spirent do not have a lot of debt

Morning all - so nice to see so many old names, especially your dalesiders - I hope you are fit, well and prosperous.

I still keep thinking that there is a bot at work syphoning off as many as it can get and another working to keep the price down for the first. Could it be Fid topping up? Time will tell. IMHO etc.

The next formal communication to the market is planned to be the preliminary
announcement in the third week of February.

An announcement in respect of the sale of our Network Products business
would include a trading update However, we are unable to give any
indication of the date of such an announcement as this is subject to the
successful completion of negotiations with prospective acquirers of the
Network Products business.

SHORT TERM COMMENTARY
Although the severe price correction occurred in the previous sessions, the short term trend is still bullish and a rise to 47.3804 is expected.

MEDIUM TERM COMMENTARY
Medium term price trend Spirent is still bearish this week. This market keeps a relative behavior lower -51.0979 than FTSE 100 INDEX. Volatility has been decreasing during last month.

dalesiders -- Well done and I thought you were still about, didn't know why but just had a feeling in my water !! -- Lets hope 2006 is alot better than 2005, certainly all the indicators point to a very bull market next year. Do we love Spirent, I did, but, it's beginning to test my patience abit. All the best and a prosperous new year to you all.
