06/12/2005 09:53 | if the offer falls below 45p this may well retrace to sub 40p if it holds then we should be alright | tetris10
06/12/2005 09:49 | Someone just bought 1 share and moved the price up to 46p - need all the help we can get. | andaleg
05/12/2005 22:57 | thegrip - whatever happened to Boobly?! | the expert
05/12/2005 20:31 | i am beginning to hate spirent... | unknown trader
05/12/2005 17:43 | keep the faith ,remember "we love spirent" | thegrip1
05/12/2005 14:06 | Absolutely shocking.....it's stagering | pdriccio
02/12/2005 15:08 | Looks to me that an upward sloping channel has begun to form and if so then a likely bottom may be found at around the 45p mark during the next few days - but what the heck it's the big boys that control the price and the best we can do is hitch a ride. | andaleg
02/12/2005 14:31 | i wouldve guess a touch higher perhaps | the knife
02/12/2005 14:16 | prob sub 45p which is where we might be going now margin call any time now i think | tetris10
02/12/2005 14:13 | PDR - I must have missed that one. Having not been following closely over the past few months, does anyone have any idea roughly what Fidelity have paid for their 9% holding? | fouroaks
02/12/2005 14:08 | Fouroaks, your right, he has retired now but he bought 60,000 odd at 65p ish in feb. I was just trying to make the point that they felt they where value at that level and presumably would rise, given the fact these guys have stacks of stock options which cost them nothing. | pdriccio
02/12/2005 13:57 | and if they are the shares could be very undervalued. just seems nobody trusts them | the knife
02/12/2005 13:56 | PDR - IIRC the only shares John Weston bought were his 1.6m at 6p in October 2003. He has since retired and therefore does not have to disclose trades. | fouroaks
02/12/2005 13:52 | Don't know knife, i remeber a while back pre profit warning, feb I think, Gustafsson, Hutchinson, Weston and Ennerfelt all bought fair amounts of shares from .65p to .69p. If mbo was on their minds you'd have to ask yourself why? I felt a few days back that spt was rising in line with tech sector in general and required something from the company to underpin and hold on to it's gains. Why can't they see that............. The thing is that they could well be making very good progress. | pdriccio
02/12/2005 13:41 | We have (presumably) a bot placing buy orders of 5,665 @ 46.25p and 10,556 @ 46.5p - removing them and replacing every minute! I hope it's happy. | fouroaks
02/12/2005 13:30 | We need Mr 25k buy bot! | fouroaks
02/12/2005 13:16 | PDRiccio, i agree. and the problem is without newsflow its just a gamble. no one knows what is going on so the stock is more volatile perhaps they just dont care about the sp, if it falls too low they just MBO it. but at a level of their choice. | the knife
02/12/2005 13:12 | sit tight fellas very little liquidity will mean lots of movement on low volume either way. Yesterday 5 mins before the close saw a lot of buys going thru @48p | tetris10
02/12/2005 13:06 | FourOaks, no. i mean observing their trading. also i think analysts were indicating they had been briefed by the company too - "trading is currently lumpy" or something. why cant they just announce it to the market? | the knife
02/12/2005 13:01 | Knife, i totally concur. They could have posted news on how the large mergers in the us has affected (accounted for 2/3 of first half sales pre mergers)sales within comms. They must know if they have picked up new business from sbc/vz And what about HT's customers/employee's I always thought the price was being manipulated down for a t/o but now i'm not so sure. I starting to think, as you are, it's the price we are paying for rank bad management. | pdriccio
02/12/2005 12:59 | Dare I ask what you are talking about? Spirent have always been short on news, but are you implying there has been some released by a fund manager that is not apparent here? | fouroaks
02/12/2005 12:31 | shocking isnt it. i am unlikely to be trading this stock much any more. my focus in future will be on stocks will good news flows. very poor communications here, which is exacerbated by the short lead times in the business. so we end up having to take lead from certain fund managers who get briefed by the company. now thats a bad way to have to trade shares i would strongly argue companies like SPT should have more regular trading statements. why should that be a burden on companies? they only need be brief, just to let investors know whats going on | the knife
01/12/2005 09:41 | o action this am come on the spirent | tetris10
30/11/2005 16:24 | We should close at 49p or there about today, ready for the big push soon. | sam79 |
