A more competent and better funded BOD/Management Team will still make a success of it.

Best perhaps to save and salvage any of you existing money in SXX and exit and then reinvest in the new venture.

Fortunately I had less than 1% of portfolio in this. But some people I know have lost a big percentage and life changing amounts of money.Lessons learnt:Risk managementDiversificationDon't believe the hype.Don't believe a word the board say.Allocate very small percentage of portfolio in non producing big capital projects (if any).

It is a national disgrace that such a valuable resource is being given away for peanuts. We should hang our heads in shame. Can we brits do nothing as a nation on a grand scale ?The company will be taken over no doubt with a couple of hundred million on the books which means the total price they pay is closer to 200 million. Absolutely laughable.For the benefit of people in the north east it's high time HMG stepped up to the plate and granted them a loan.

Can always reinvest proceeds into Anglo American, will provide upside if you believe in this project but in a more diversified way.
