28/8/2007 10:41 | Daily Mirror has Bolton's Campo coming to BDTBL. | s66blade
26/8/2007 10:54 | Yup RIGHT up there. | hvs
26/8/2007 09:11 | Solid performance from the team (not counting Leigterwood who has yet to prove to me he can do anything - wouldn't even make the subs bench for me). All the other players put in 100% effort and got the result against a team billed as "promotion rivals". The defence were awesome - Morgan was the outstanding player there but Geary going forward as a defender was excellent. Thought Armstrong had possibly his best game at the Lane for some time - chasing down a lost cause to cross in for Beattie to score. Tonge and Monty were outstanding too, Gillespie caused them problems all day. Beattie and Sharp looked a very good combination and Beattie got away well from his marker to get the header in for the goal. Sharp was only missing a goal but that will come sooner rather than later judging by todays game - he covered the whole pitch. A minor concern was that Paddy spilled a couple of shots you would have expected him to have kept hold of - maybe the clean sheet will boost his confidence. Shame about the Wendy's too......10 goals conceded in 3 games, 2 - 0 up away from home yesterday (and to their credit I can't see too many teams doing that at The Valley) yet they somehow manage to chuck it away and remain bottom of the table. Pinch me, I must be dreaming. Up The Blades, FTO. | s66blade
20/8/2007 18:44 | Who are these very good clubs please ??? in terms of quality id say its set to be the poorest championship in years | mick33
20/8/2007 15:11 | Good to see that most here have moved on from their futile whinging about Tevez and have started discussing football. Will SUFC get promoted? I think their chances are slim. There are alot of very good clubs in the same league this year. | loverat
20/8/2007 15:08 | It is on Sky. regards UK | uknighted
20/8/2007 14:50 | Nice break thanks. West Brom is a match I think we have to win......we don't want to get into the habit of not winning this early on. Sky will have it - I'm presuming this is the reason it's a stupid kick-off time. | s66blade
20/8/2007 09:44 | WOW its quiet on here!! Just back from my hols, and have noticed the rns from the 16th about the legal proceeding's!! Not sure what to make of it, could be a waste of time, but if they can get some compensation, it would be a good result! Not great on the pitch so far from what I have read on the internet this morning, although the watford game was always gonna be a toughy away. Sheffield United manager Bryan Robson: "I said in the dressing room at half-time that I wanted more urgency from my three forwards. "But we did not improve at all after doing quite well in the first half, and we started slowly after the break. "I was disappointed, because the frontmen let themselves down, and I expect more from them." | eggbird
11/8/2007 08:57 | Finally the new season has arrived!!! Team news: Sheffield United skipper is doubtful with a calf strain, but summer signings James Beattie and Billy Sharp are likely to start in attack. Fellow close-season arrivals Gary Naysmith, Lee Hendrie and David Carney also expected to make their debuts. Colchester striker Teddy Sheringham has a slight calf strain and is expected to start his U's career on the bench. Midfielder Kevin Watson is a doubt with an Achilles problem, and new Hungarian defender Bela Balogh has a broken nose. UP THE BLADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | eggbird
09/8/2007 08:28 | We are now linked with Stelios (Bolton) although Robson denies putting in any such bid. (Sporting Life) In my view someone like him would be a signing to top Beattie. | s66blade
08/8/2007 16:44 | que sera sera what ever will be will be your going to Braintree!!! (near Colchester, didn't know if Barsley are in old division 2) | ponderer
07/8/2007 12:43 | profiles of the above (FWIW) | s66blade
07/8/2007 08:51 | Probably Darren Gibson and Richie Jones. Regards UK | uknighted
07/8/2007 08:50 | Hmmmmm, now that would be good news for the club! I see the share price is moving up nicely this morning. Gossip from the sun: Sheffield Wednesday hope to lure striker Geoff Horsfield from city rivals United with a £400,000 bid. (The Sun) | eggbird
07/8/2007 08:17 | I'll give the appearance of talking to myself at this rate! Anyway, interesting rumour is that Beattie signed because Robson told him that he was going to bring in 2 midfielders on a seasons loan - from Man U (because they can't get into the first team currently). | s66blade
06/8/2007 20:34 | New Keeper | s66blade
03/8/2007 13:51 | Robson putting out his strongest 11 tomorrow. Be interesting to see who he considers his strongest midfield. | s66blade

01/8/2007 21:35 | LOL S66!! Not long to go now till the season kicks off lads.. I havent seen anything of the friendlies played so far, but have read the odd snippet. Things seem to be going ok. Gossip: Sheffield United boss Bryan Robson has lodged a £1.5m bid for Wigan's Kevin Kilbane. (Daily Star) p.s. What do you guys make of the new SUFC website?? Just had a quick look at it, seems a lot more info on there.. | eggbird |
