The Blades are looking like relegation candidates instead of promotion candidates.

Sack robson before the season is over.

Johne,

I'm far to polite to use my titanium umbrella since it might obscure the view of my fellow supporters..

Hi John

Yes, the # is very relevant ;o)

Happy to report back following the city game. I also use this bb to catch the reviews of those who are able to go to games I can't (far too many, unfortunately).

I think BR's performance will be constantly reviewed by the board, but he is safe for at least one season (relegation surely not being an option????!). In that time he can spend an obscene amount of money, disincestivise the players, staff and board and subject the next manager to the impossible task of setting us straight again. 13 more years in the championship? Remember post-Bassett we had Kendall spending a load of cash (some nice football played though), Spackman spending a load of cash (dithering about), Bruce spending even more cash (how did he ever get another job?) and (the fall-guy) Heath (who?). I fear history may be repeating itself...

Slightly tongue in cheek and perhaps too critical of BR, but I have never seen nor head of a manager, in sport or business, who has been successful whilst systematically blaming everyone around him for each and every failure. That disappoints me very much. Good managers do not need to do that.

Tongey - thinking of him and not of the Blades, IMHO he should have gone when Brownie did and certainly when Warnock left.

Early days though; BR may yet surprise the hell out of me. ;o)

chap1889, (a relevant number, I think). I normally travel to away matches. However, I will miss the Bristol match.

Do you want to post here, your views, when you return? - I may get limited access to PC's whilst I am away. I'd be very interested to read your account. I use the SUFC website and pay for the Blades world but, it's good to read words from supporters also.

Do you think Robbo's performance will be reviewed by the board, next week? - If so, he might be a little worried?

Also, have you noticed Tongey, warming up and during play? - he seems to be all on his own and is not looking, at all, happy. Perhaps, that goes hand in hand with some folks views that Robbo is not good at motivating the team or individuals?

TIA

So far, BR has failed to avoid blaming certain players in public for every single defeat or poor draw. A nasty little trait he seems to have difficulty shifting and certainly not something he learned from Fergie. He's always got a scapegoat and it is never him.

I'll be at the Bristol game to support the players. Something the manager seems singularly incapable of doing.

Just hoping he doesn't spend too much cash before he is booted out....

It wasn't difficult for Southampton who were "chasing the game" to start with.
Sorry Robbo, close the door on your way out to the pub.

Sheffield United manager Bryan Robson
"When you're chasing the game, no matter what division, it's difficult. We are having to do that every week.

"It is a team effort and these are individual errors. We are not dealing with situations on the football pitch.

"We have got to improve that otherwise we are not going to do well this season."

A tough game next weekend at Bristol City, means we need 3 points on Tuesday against Cardiff, to get morale back up imho!

Robson should walk now.

a really inspired choice for manager would be Bruce Arena

MrBa5hir I - thanks for your bundle of intelligent words.

A poor performance by The Blades, against a poor Southampton side, in my opinion.

That must be the worst personal performance by some individuals, also. I know Beattie and Stead received boots in the face, I think there were others also - I couldn't keep count - so, a poor performance by the officials as well. When The Saints said they were coming for a fight, I didn't realise they meant a brawl - lots of dangerous kicking, from where I was sitting!

Keefs goal started us off well and, although Robbo insists that we played good football through the first half, I totally disagree.

We should have breezed through the match today, against a weak Saints side. However, like most teams, there are a few good players in the Southampton squad - Raziak reminds me of Readings Kitson, (very awkward to defend against).

I would be interested to read S66Blades account of the fiasco.

Well, Robson got a comfortable win.

I know it was "only" Morecambe BUT a win boosts confidence no matter who it is against. It's good news that both Sharp and Shelton have scored goals, reports are that Hendrie ran the midfield and played some nice passes - exactly what he was brought in for.

Morecambe are reported as trying to play football which can only bode well for their survival in the League.

Pretty sure Robson will expect nothing less than a comfortable win.

Yes, call it passion, or whatever you like but, Morgans stupid actions are not professional and are costing us dearly. As much as I like the lad, he has to learn to keep it clean. At least Robbo sees it that way also.

It would be nice to see Sharp playing more - keep him interested. I am sure that once he gets a few goals and assists, his performance will improve.

RE: Morecambe, (Shrimps) = the proverbial 'banana skin'? - hopefully, not tonight.
