"Reasoned changes" are to be announced regarding Robson's meeting in Brussels with McCabe and Robinson.

Quite what that means is yet to be clarified. Rumour is that Robson is to be given a "Director of Football" role and someone else to be Manager alongside coach Brian Kidd.

For my money, that's a way of not having to pay Robson off to get rid.

If the above is true then McCabe is committing himself to paying another wage at management level.
Bizarre. If I can't do my job I don't get put into a higher position so as to not cause further damage.

That's really bad when the opposition are down to 10 men for 80mins - and look at who the opposition was, a fellow struggler.
Don't like to say I told you so but.....

I think the appointment of BR is a dreadful mistake.
Bad for team morale - as has been demonstrated at all his previous clubs. He was a great player but great players aren't guaranteed to make great managers.

"If we'd had better support from them [the fans] I feel we could have gone on to win."

My positive spin on it was that at least he's not singling out individual players for blame this time! ;o)

Very quiet on here, looks like the end is nigh for BR ,shame really he,s a nice guy and the over rated players in the squad just didnt perform for him.One thing for sure he didnt deserve the vile bullying from the brain - dead car park clowns after the match

Would've preferred all the Premiership teams to play each other but never mind.
It's another one we can go into believing we can win.

Pity it knocks the game against the Wendy's back.

Don't Premiership players have it tough?

Bless 'em.

Didn't like the comment on BBC that Premiership players would find the pitch difficult as they were used to playing on Premiership pitches - SUFC were Premiership last season!! That said the pitch was poor.

Hope yesterday's victory pushes us on the better performances in the Championship, would be deflating if not. Would hate our balloon to burst so soon!

Actually in the "Boxing Day" season, it was a 1-1 draw at the Lane.

Can't add much cos I only saw the highlights on ITV. But trying to be objective, the interview Robson gave afterwards was hardly going to inspire his squad.

Shows what I know!!

What's stuck in my mind chap1889 is that when he took over he asked for 10 games, they came and went so he then asked to be given until Christmas, that came and went. He then said he'd be bringing a couple of players in during January and to be honest, Lee Martin does look like he can play - he was dumped into the derby when he shouldn't have been......however how long before Robson knocks the skill, talent and enthusiasm out of him?

Either he is very bad at teaching his players how to play HIS style of football or they truly are that bad. If it's the first then he should go, if it's the second he should sack Brian Kidd who was instrumental in getting Robson in due to the fact he had worked for some time with those very players Robson says are not good enough.......says a lot for Kidd's judgement...or Robson's blame attitude.

Robson has outstayed his welcome from the fans, McCabe may see that when the attendances fall and if he keeps Robson on, exactly how many season tickets are sold for next season.
