Understand Asus, he’s finding it difficult to sell when he has so much faith in Saga, and he is sitting on a large loss believing in a technical bounce. Right now the bears have this one, the amount of goodwill remaining suggests another huge writedown, the final payments for these cruise ships, etc. But some comments suggest he should bite the bullet, it will not come back soon, and maybe it is on the rocks, probably needs to decide whether it is a tour company or an insurance one. Saga wax’s built on the basis of providing a service to a specific generation, it outgrew that as that was predicated on trust, that has been compromised by last weeks statement. It was also bled dry by private equity, the vultures who rip companies to shreds for the gain of principal investors. They do not build, they asset strip, return to market, and then leave moronic investors to carry the can later!

Asus,

if you're convinced by these posters that the price will be talked down, why don't you sell now and buy back later when they're cheaper?

Watching this ultra carefully... no interest in making a purchase today...
Also awaiting further broker commentary especially the 1 week delayed ones that have the most devasting impact...

Hence happy to wait near 45p

Has anybody looked at the scale of the Spirit of Discovery, approx. the length of the Titanic, 20% bigger on tonnage. Very impressive double height ballroom, the ultimate CEO toy. And another following.

That's one hell of a gamble for a company of this size. Could be a winner, but working that out is impossible just now I would have thought.

"Massive losses for me right now. Short tracker shows that hedge funds have jumped on board and are hammering it!"

asus,
No it doesn't - last declared / displayed change to date was pre-results on 3rd April. You may be anxious, but at least get your facts straight (otherwise people will think you have an alternative agenda).

I think that passenger liner investments are very high risk at the moment

Something nasty is bound to happen IMO at some point

Watch the cruise liner businesses tank then

this will ' DRIFT' (pardon the pun ) to anything between 45-50p , I will have a punt then. Thought Tui were cheep at £8.20, 2 week later could have had them at £6.95.

Countless...you maybe right, it's a bit of a gamble though. Can't find out how much these cruiseliners cost each? but when your Market cap is down to 700m the two will represent a decent share of the balance sheet on completion.

With hindsight, no 700m cap is going to gamble on two new ships. This was instigated as a 3 billion cap.

Not saying 62p isn't worth a punt, I think it is.
