08/4/2019 09:53 | UBS downgrade. 150p to 65p. Neutral rating...which means sell. | elsa7878
08/4/2019 09:26 | guys don't catch a falling knife. If you have to buy this wait a few weeks and watch for any relief rally. For now you are just playing a fruit machine. Remember this has £1.3B (1.9 times Mkt cap) of goodwill assets (ie fresh air) after writing off £300M this year. Be very careful here | wallywoo
08/4/2019 09:16 | I think buying new cruise ships were the correct thing to do to attract customers - new ships make it easier to sell a holiday and have less overheads. | countless
08/4/2019 09:02 | Still those two indulgent cruiseliners that are holding me back. Which makes the most sense for Me plc buying a new car for 12k or the same one from Motorpoint four months old for 7 or 8k. They could have leased secondhand also. The Management wanted new toys. The price now probably more than reflects the Management mistakes. I don't buy it that this is all about the insurance dept. though. | stewart64
08/4/2019 08:49 | Yep, I've backed another winner again,,,not | boraki
08/4/2019 08:49 | I'm tempted a p/e of less than 7 on fwd...105/ 700m cap. | stewart64

08/4/2019 08:36 | Last time i buy a Private Equity stock, I really should know by now, they sell High, wait a few years for it to crash and then they buy back. | roulettewheel
08/4/2019 08:21 | Aren't shares great ffs? | asusasus
07/4/2019 22:13 | Boraki - sounds you are like me at the moment , in a submarine. | poleaxe
07/4/2019 21:34 | This doesn't sound bad either Revenue from Emerging Businesses (which includes Personal Finance, Healthcare Services and the Media businesses) increased by 17.1% to £32.8m (2018: £28.0m), which was largely due to increased revenue from the Group's mailing business. | boraki
07/4/2019 21:33 | In preliminary results Cruise ticket revenues and passengers for 2019/20 departures are up 17.7% and 17.8%, respectively. This reflects the requirement to fill the additional capacity of the first new ship, Spirit of Discovery, as the Saga Pearl II exits service. The increase in capacity days is 19% weighted to quarters 3 and 4 as the business sees the full impact of the larger new 999 berth vessel Sounds good to me | boraki
07/4/2019 16:17 | Latest saga video | boraki
06/4/2019 07:43 | Don’t forget that is projected EPS for the next finanancial year. If things pick up then the decline will be far less dramatic. Just have a feeling, against all the odds, that the new strategy will bear results and in, say, 2 years we will be looking at a complete reversal of fortunes. Everyone I have spoken to have been impressed with the service, so once they get the prices right ....... For some reason I am feeling much more optimistic this morning. | sharebuddy1
06/4/2019 06:27 | Sharebuddy1..I agree the write off of goodwill is nothing to do with revenue. However, forward EPS is projected to collapse about 40% for 19/20, I think that is the bit that spooked the Market. Profit still set to come in at about 115 million before tax to 2020 against a Market cap of 750 million. But the Market really punishes shrinking EPS. | stewart64
06/4/2019 05:24 | Nothing attractive about Saga. | blueball
06/4/2019 05:22 | 15p? Can't see that. 35p if the board don't pull their finger out. Dividend isn't looking nearly as attractive. | cl0ckw0rk0range
05/4/2019 23:08 | This indicates that for the two new cruise ships £83.6m has already been paid with two lots of £31.1m due this year. | countless
05/4/2019 22:49 | A little dated but interesting. At 31 July 2018, the Group had drawn £30.0m of its £100.0m revolving credit facility. Interest on the bond is incurred at an annual interest rate of 3.375%. Interest on the term loan and revolving credit facility is incurred at a variable rate of LIBOR plus between 1% and 2.2%, which is linked to and dependent on the Group’s leverage ratio. | countless
05/4/2019 22:02 | 15p. - dream on. a P/e of 1..!!! | thecroots
05/4/2019 18:59 | I will be a buyer at 15p. | blueball
05/4/2019 18:54 | To be honest ,,, there are too many companies with more debt than pre 2008... I think we are in trouble soon ,,,,,, Or are we going to carry on,, come day go day , and let debt pile up like the USA. I AM CONCERNED........... | gripfit |
