Yup...total shock given the Jan update. I wouldn't touch this now as I have zero faith in management. They have imho made their positions untenable over the last 3 months... Who believes they can lead and manage a turnaround ?

Today’s announcement is quite a shock after the very comforting RNS made in January.

Makes them look like idiots.

Peel Hunt reiterated them a BUY on the 27th March with a price target of 180p.

Standard Life Aberdeen have been regular buyers at between 110p and 120p over the lest few weeks.

Lots of positive signals leading up to this bombshell.

I would have thought, like me, that many SAGA shareholders are also customers so they’ve all taken a financial hit today and will be feeling pretty miffed off at the company. Not good for business.

As a cruiser I do feel that their new ships look fantastic and perfectly targeted at a refined 50+ cruiser. The prices aren’t cheap but if they deliver what they promise with a boutique hotel experience then they could do very well.

Having 1m+ Customers signed up to their new loyalty programme is promising.

Fingers crossed that this is clearing the decks for a bright future.

Think the core issue is that at a time that the core business is under pressure debt is about to rise significantly with the build and delivery of their 2 new cruise ships. Debt now £400 million, but will soon be about £900 million....fwiw.

great if you ignore the 400m debt and if this is the 'last' profit warning

For short term it's a great buying opportunity

All insurance companies take age into account when calculating premiums, so that USP doesn't quite stack up!

5.5 divi , a great buy and hold, bargain.

I think the forward dividends are to be 50% of the eps.
The final div appears to be 1p given that the int was 3p.

So if this year underlying pbt of £180m generated 13.1p eps then taking a very simplistic view the 2020 pbt of £120m may create an eps of 8p and a div of 4p.
So buying now gives a 5.5% yield with some growth potential.

Flybe and this f..er. My portfolio is just relentlessly evaporating.
Once this pile finally dies, as did Flybe I have promised my wife to get out of this investing mess and never return.

He should be sacked with immediate effect with some of the board. They failed to predict the knock-on effect of the low cost airliner going under, and failed to spot the long term trend of customers moving to price comparison sites. Just what is he/they being paid to?

Need a new CEO to turn this around.

16 January 2019

The Group has continued to trade in line with our expectations during the period.

4 April 2019

In response, today we are launching a fundamental change to the Group's strategy to return the whole business to its heritage

Does he really know what he's doing? Time to move on Lance you've trashed this company enough.

Technical reading wise this is massively in oversold territory - RSI down to just 10
