29/5/2023 14:42 | Vlad The Impaler - 12 May 2023 - 09:41:27 - 11531 of 11777 Some may not get this but the above was confirmed in a near vertical 100% plus rise It was exit time for above strategy …… Indeed Vlad. It’s all starting to come out | institutional investments
29/5/2023 14:41 | In 2012, Britain’s Serious Fraud Office launched an investigation into Rolls Royce for payments linked to transactions with countries including China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Rolls Royce paid a fine of 497 million pounds to settle the case with the SFO in 2017. ……. | institutional investments
29/5/2023 14:40 | “ "The decision to investigate follows the SFO announcement on 17 January 2017 of a DPA between the SFO and Rolls-Royce PLC which relates to offences including conspiracy to corrupt and a failure to prevent bribery," the accounting watchdog said five years ago Dunno how they can be seen as light-handed now if this all unfolds badly | institutional investments

29/5/2023 14:38 | “The fine relates to the firm's work on Derby-headquartered Rolls-Royce, which in 2017 paid more than £670m to settle bribery charges in the UK and US.” Oh well. Might as well be global now | institutional investments
29/5/2023 14:31 | Ah. So that’s the reason for recent action in market @Impaled | vlad the impaler
29/5/2023 14:29 | The engineering giant said it had reached a “significant milestone” in 2011 after successfully generating electricity from the tides. Rolls-Royce had installed a huge turbine 100ft beneath the sea near Orkney that would harness tidal power to feed the Scottish grid. “Yet shortly after the trial, the project was abandoned. It is one of many ideas that Britain’s premier engineer has tried and dropped over the years in a search for the next big thing that could transform its fortunes.” I am just wondering how RR can survive if not paying bribes and advertising pie in the sky projects | institutional investments
29/5/2023 14:26 | Would have to wonder if it’s the nail in the coffin this time around | institutional investments
29/5/2023 14:24 | Oh dear. Very disappointed the astute here didn’t see that coming Can only assume those in distribution mode did | institutional investments

28/5/2023 19:19 | Head Office is in London not Derby. The biggest problem RR has is retaining engineers. There's a huge shortage, so I doubt there will be cuts outside of admin. | vikingwarrier
28/5/2023 18:21 | Yes, poor reporting kasamavic. | freddie01
28/5/2023 18:12 | Is it just me that's noticed it states jet engine manufacturer in the first sentence and in the second sentence states it's a luxury car maker.Surely an analyst hasn't put that together? | kasamavic
28/5/2023 17:53 | It’s all falling apart. | thanatos abyss
28/5/2023 17:44 | This 10% is the same ploy that Jack Welsh used to impose on GE.It was found not to work too well in the end. Enron did this too. It comes from the Roman army which in its early days had fights to the death to lose the worst/weakest 10% each year. It was called DECIMATE but this too ended. McKinsey are just charging a fortune for an old idea which has been shown to fail. | vikingwarrier
28/5/2023 17:44 | That's how I'm reading it MCunliffe1. | freddie01
28/5/2023 17:41 | The report as posted by freddie01 implies to me that it's clerical staff that are likely to receive redundancy. If the three operating divisions do not share a common admin. structure then what the hell as Tufan been doing since his arrival? I appreciate the point made by Vikingwarrier: Brit. Aerospace (where my wife worked) operated on a similar principle. However, they also had no end of staff who's job appeared to be to walk about with a clipboard. I suspect RR is the same. | mcunliffe1 |
