23/5/2023 19:34 | Not quite, you should do a bit more research about the Safran Silvercrest engine for the super midsize Falcon 5x. JetRR were initially awarded the contract but were inexplicably dumped because Safran wanted a route into the market for their new engine, some politics going on perhaps with the predominantly French controlled Airbus. That was a shame because that would have provided a RR a platform for a super midsize engine which currently they dont have. Anyway the Silvercrest failed miserably leaving both Dassault and Safran/Snecma with egg on the face, once bitten twice shy. | ![]() rogerrail |
