umm.... a single source with no support. I think it is highly unlikely to be true. Unless it is a takeover of RRS (with a decent premium) by Barrick, I hope it does not happen. I struggle to see much share price enhancement in a genuine merger.

Chinese Investor, I hope your £50 target is met soon? When you say soon, when do you mean? As it is easy to say that something will hit a target 'soon'. To some this is a few days/weeks but to others this could be months?
Give us a rough date.

RRS's management is very good at 'managing' expectations. They recently said that they would meet the low end of expectations which means 1.3m ounces. I've no doubt they will subject to unforeseen disruption.
Gold struggling to break out of 1200 to 1210 range. Once it does (to the upside) a lot of the shorts will start to close whcih should give Gold a short term but steep rise. That's my understanding anyhow!
Nice to see that the share price has picked up from recent lows in 46s & 47s.

RRS remains the preferred precious-metals pick for Barclays analysts, who say that issues earlier in 2018 have been offset by outperformance at its Kibali mine in the Congo. The bank says that Randgold's production should hit 1.3 million ounces of gold--the bottom end of its guidance for the year--following success at Kibali, despite disruption in the Congo over mining-code reform and in the Ivory Coast, where operations were hit by strikes. However, with first-half production of 600,000 ounces, a strong second half will be needed, Barclays says.
