In hindsight, the rise yesterday morning was rather strange particularly compared to the modest increase this morning yet Gold is at 1195 as I write this.
A lot of indicators implying that the bottom of the this gold cycle is nearly reached or has been reached. Certainly hope so but we shall see. A weaker dollar would certainly help.

Negative bets against gold surge, could be tipping point

Betting gold prices will fall is at a record high, and futures data shows the first net short position in the metal since 2001.

The level of gross shorts, those investors betting against higher gold prices, has gotten to record levels in recent weeks, and that could be a contrarian signal for the metal.

I didn't start buying until the mid 50's and have been averaging down since then so I'm only a few % down at the moment. Happy to hold :-)
