Barrick Gold climbed another 2.75% to a two-year high on above-average volume. GOLD stock is now up 46% year-to-date.Spectat |

Posted at 28/10/2018 11:01 by redtom1 Value of RRS based on Friday close is about £62.40 based on Barrick close plus divi premium. So depending on geo political events impacting price of gold, RRS will probably open a lot lower than the Friday London close. If markets generally stablize, then price of gold may settle down a little which may soften the share price of Barrick in short term. However, the markets are very nervous so that it does not take much to spook them with an immediate spike in gold creating spikes in both Barrick & RRS. A lot of volatility to come for the last 2 months of RRS's life. A great trading stock for the brave. It would not surprise me if we saw £50s and £70s in next 2 months. |
Posted at 25/10/2018 10:49 by redtom1 Barrick Gold is C17.03 and is expected to open broadly flat.6.128 shares at fx rate of 1.67958 = £62.13. Add approx £1.25 for the divi and you get the RRS share price This morning the rise in gold pushed up the expected opening price of BG, hence the rise in RRS. Gold has come off since (markets have settled) hence RRS has dropped back. |
Posted at 01/10/2018 07:26 by redtom1 Can someone explain the disparity of the RRS share price and Barrick? So Barrick is currently CAD14.33. Based on the deal of 6.128 Barrick for one RRS and based on the current £:CAD, this equated to £52.49. The current RRS share price is about £53.70? Is this difference primarily explained by the right to the dividend? |
Posted at 25/9/2018 11:04 by kiwi2007 I bought RRS for it's cash flow and rising dividend yield... I won't get that with Barrick..they'll have to go a lot higher to get my vote. |
Posted at 11/9/2018 08:38 by wrestlingmad Do you want to talk about it?Professor Joy (RRS) 01 Jul 2017 - 15:33:51 And for the record, lying CI, I now hold 3,669 of these. I accumulate weekly, bit by bit. Professor Joy (RRS) 30 Mar 2018 - 13:09:00 During the past two weeks, I have been taking advantage of the relative weakness in price here and have accumulated a further 450 shares, between £57.25 and £60.25. I think the recent low around £56.90 is probably the low we will see......… Professor Joy (RRS) 5 Apr 2018 - 18:12:00 I've purchased a further 193 this week. My new target is 4,000 shares. Professor Joy (RRS) 24 Apr 2018 - 18:06:00 Oh the joys of picking up RRS between £56.60 and £58 over the past few days. |
